Me, Myself, and Irene

Jim Carrey, Renee Zellwegger, Traylor Howard, Anthony Anderson, Mongo Brownlee, Jerod Mixon

This movie is some where in between in meter of Carrey movies. It isn’t as stupid as Dumb and Dumber, The Mask, and The Truman Show but it isn’t quite as funny as Ace Ventura, Liar Liar. Although it is very very funny. The story follows Rhode Island State Police Officer Charlie Bailygates (Carrey). Charlie is in love with Layla (Howard), and then they marry. Layla falls in love with Shonte the limo driver from their wedding and has triplets(Anderson, Brownlee, Mixon) by the limo driver. Charlie just acts like the kids are his own. Then Layla leaves him and he does nothing just continues his job like normal. Until it gets to a point when he does everything in his power to avoid any kind of conflict. He evens lets a little girl jump rope in the street because she talks back to him. Then one day something snaps, Charlie becomes Hank, and is diagnosed with Schizophrenia. He is sent on a vacation to take a woman named Irene (Zellweger) to New York, and gets himself in a mess of trouble. This movie is funny, but also kind of lewd. The rampant cursing, and crude humor actually take away from this movie. It is funny but the language diminishes the value of this movie. Not for little ears.

My rating= ***(it would have been higher if not for the cursing)

Violence, Language, Nudity= (very crude language, mild violence, mild showing of sex toy)
