Bottem line: I loved this episode! Don't ask me why. I know a lot of people thought is was so/so, but I thought it was pure fun.
First of all, the idea of Seven downloading the ships data is not out of the ordinary since Borg are used to assimulating large amounts of information. It only reasons to believe that Seven would want to know more about Voyager. So she plugs herself in and like most addictions it ends up wreaking havik on her head.
The acting: good. Not fantiastic, but heck this wasn't a highly intense episode.
The directing: the usual. No fancy or new stuff.
The story: fun! This is what made the episode. A fun and new idea. It's all it takes to please me. The scenes between Janeway and Chakotay are, as always, enjoyable. (note: J/Cers how they have regular candle lit dinners) The only thing I did disagree with was the gullabilty of the inseperablt command team. Although it was meant to seem like Janeway and Chakotay are caught in a major conspiracy, the story focused on Seven's pov more than J/C so it ended up looking unbeleivable. I don't beleive for a second that J/C would distrust each other.
So, overall a fun episode, but unbelievable.
Next Week: The Doctor pays a visit to his 'father', Reg, and Deana.
