This robot is a pain in the neck. First it stays bloated up, and when it sees you coming it tosses out many little robots that explode. Save your time and simply destroy the floating head to kill'em all.

 

Here's another gap with hovering robots. Again, do the homing dash attack. This time, when you get to the last robot, press the "B" button to trail across the rings.

When you get to a certain door, you'll see outer space and a trail of rings. Press "B" to cross through all the rings and go to the other side. 

Further through this stage you'll have many more levers to pull that will flip you almost every angle. Eventually you'll enter a room where you can walk on the ceiling. There will be three water monsters as you walk on. Destroy them and walk further to pull the lever. You'll fall to the ground safely and there will be a group of boxes behind you. Behind two of the steel crates will be a Flame ring upgrade. When getting to the multicolored platforms, slow down. Take your time to do things right or you'll make a mistake. The goal ring is behind a green force field. Hit the rocket button near it to get rid of the force field.
