The final confrontation is starting now as Sonic the Hedgehog meets with Shadow. Will Sonic save the day?

  Once you chat with Shadow briefly it's off to the roadway!
 When you're ahead of Shadow, he'll use Chaos Control to warp further ahead. 
Collect 100 rings to get an extra life. Use these rings attack wise also. If Shadow warps ahead of you, and he's in the middle of a set of rings, press the "B" button to Light Dash right into Shadow.
If you try a Homing Attack on Shadow, he just might block it with one of his own. Be careful of his attacks from behind. Jump into the air to avoid them.
If you stand in one place too long, the road will crack, and Shadow will cast out a special attack. Run forward to avoid this attack.
Also, try a fire somersault behind Shadow to attack him. Follow these methods and you'll beat Shadow. Once you do, Congratulations! You've just beat the Hero mode!
