My goal is to attract enough attention to find a source for plans. So far, I have found two articles in Sport Aviation, a brief summary in Janes's, and two modeling articles in RC Modeler magazine. I also have a photo from Oshkosh - I was there when some French Canadians were setting up a J-3 that they had trailered in - I can't remember what year, though. I met the Alpha Aviation people at Oshkosh the year that they first showed up with the J-5 Marco kit, but they didn't admit to knowing anything about the earlier designs. My letter to A.J. Baracz was never replied to - I imagine he moved many years ago. Thanks! I bought an "info" kit at Oshkosh several years ago, don't know if I still have it. Threw out a lot of stuff when I moved last year. I've been looking at VULA for weeks, but never noticed that page. I just ordered a set of J-1B plans from Alpha Aviation Supply in Greenwood, TX. The company that marketed the J-5 kits was Alpha/USA Inc. - a completely different company.
