The SPJs unveiled their new bassist
"Paul" with a 7-song set at the 2004
Hootenanny on Saturday night. The show was the
first perfomance for the Pajamas since a February
14 show in 2003. The band will take a little time
to recover from the event, but is planning more
performances for the summer. Stay tuned for
further announcements.

What else could explain the extended
hiatus for the Spooky Pajamas? Are the members
each working on solo projects? Have they all been
on suicidal drinking binges, drowning their
sorrow over the departure of bassist Jay
Thornton? Anything is possible as the SPJ camp
has been tight-lipped about all issues concerning
the band's current non-activity. Diehard SPJ fans
are clinging to the rumor that three of the SPJs
were seen together on New Year's Eve. Will the
band come out of hibernation in 2004? Stay tuned.
