Todd Eldredge is one of my all time favorite figure skaters. He not only performs all the technical elements with ease, but he also is able to express the music he is skating to better than many other male skaters in the world today. I admire Todd for many different reasons, but specifially for being able to get back in the eligible competition after having a few years off (he did this in 2001/2002 so he could go to his third Olympic Games). He came back wanting another stab at an Olympic medal, and in the course of pursuing this dream he won his 6th United States National Championship. Though his dream of winning an Olympic medal did not come true last February in Salt Lake, Todd went out and performed his long program almost perfectly and received a standing ovation. Though I don't know him personally, I can imagine that having a skate like that, the last time on Olympic ice, is something that he'll never forget.

For your information, Todd is listed as a competitor in the 2003 United States National Championships that will be held later this month in Dallas, TX. Check ABC TV listings for their coverage of the Championship.
