A Little Ramble About The X-Files Series Finale

May 20, 2002 - SPOILERS!

I admit I absolutely did not pay any attention to the thing at all from the moment, Knowle Rohrer was unable to kill off Mulder (that was out of character). I had my tv on but I was having fun goofing off with friends. I changed channels during the M&S lurvy dovey moments (yes, IMHO CC wrote this one for Shippers and duchovbots <--- not my favorite types of XF fans).

I did cheer and yell happily when Krycek, Marita, Gibson, Mr. X, CSM, Spender, Knowle, Reyes and Doggett appeared (for they were the only reason I even tuned in to watch). So there was smthg I kinda enjoyed.

I really feel like RP and AG got ripped off, they carried S9 on their own, and did a damn good job at it, yet in the final episode, they are not even treated as the main characters (which IMHO they became through S8 and S9), they were treated like walk on roles with small bits of dialogue. Hell we don't even know what happened to them after all those things blew up the CSM! Did they drive off over a cliff? Did a missile shoot them too? Did Monica and Brad get back together? Did Monica move back to New Orleans? Did Doggett leave the FBI for he had seen all there is to see? I want to know what happened to them. I don't give a flying f**k about Mulder or Scully and to an extent Skinner.

I'm saddened by how CC treated the fans that stuck with his show these past two seasons. We are fans for the show past and present (for me especially present: JD MR), yet just because DD decides that he'll guest star (and get his pic in the opening credits), CC writes up a Duchovny love fest of a script and ignores the only reason I even tuned in during the 8th and 9th seasons.

If this is any indication of how the next XF movies will be, I am not going to see them. And I'd prefer it if JD and MR aren't in them as well (no matter how much I love them), because the way CC treats them is disgusting and disrespectful, and they'd probably be walk on roles anyway.

Well, I do hope that some of you were able to enjoy it, I'm considering "Sunshine Days" my XF series finale (it had a good finalized feel to it).

Ciao!
