The house at 273 Stubbs Terrace is used for playgroup on Mondays between 09:30 and 11:30 am (everyone is welcome), and it is also used for child care while courses are being held at 271 Stubbs Terrace.

At KCH we have a craft room that is open daily during office hours and all the contents are available for your use. We have a large range of materials and a modest library of craft and cook books and videos. You can choose to decoupage, mosaic, make a teddy, make a raffia hat, paint, make cards etc. all in your own time and at your own pace. The cost of craft room usage ranges between $2 and $10 per activity and the coordinators are happy to help you.

We have a Defence Community Organization (DCO) computer room with a printer, scanner and fax machine at KCH for Defence spouses to use. You can keep in contact with your deployed spouse via the Internet or use the room for anything to do with employment.

KCH hold up to three low cost courses weekly, and we offer something for everyone ranging from Tupperware parties to pasta making sessions to mosaic classes and child management classes. We always provide morning tea at each course and childcare is available for the cost of $1.00 per child.

This year we have held a number of night courses including; Introduction to Investments Seminars and wine and cheese tasting to include both ADF personnel and their spouses.

In 2002 we will be holding weekly night classes with childcare for Defence spouses who work during the day but who would still like to take advantage of our low costs and be able to network with other Defence spouses. We will also be holding children craft courses during one week of each holiday period during 2002.
