Notes:  The undefeated Buffalo Bills come into Kansas City with the #1 offense in the league and the league leader in offense, Thurman Thomas.  In the first Monday Night Football game at Arrowhead Stadium since 1983, the Chiefs take the opening kickoff back to the 39-yard line, and a 15-yard penalty by the Bills puts KC in Buffalo territory.  It never gets any better for the Bills.  Steve DeBerg, master of the play-action fake, puts the 24th ranked Buffalo defense to the test by going to a no-huddle offense.  The Chiefs pound the Bills between the tackles, with Okoye pummeling his way into the end zone twice and rookie RB Harvey Williams putting up 103 rushing yards.  Okoye does well also, rushing for 126 yards and breaking Abner Haynes team record with his 13th game rushing for over 100 yards.  Meanwhile, the Chiefs defense smothers the Bills running game, holding Thurman Thomas to less than 50 yards before he exited the game with an injury in the 3rd quarter.  The Chiefs force five fumbles and score 24 points off of them.  Derrick Thomas sacks Jim Kelly 4 times, forcing 2 fumbles that were recovered by the Chiefs.  An officiating goof early in the third quarter screws the Bills out of 5 yards, but in the end it has no bearing on the outcome.  Kelly gets huge yards to start the fourth quarter, but the drive is rudely stopped when Derrick Thomas sacks him and causes a fumble.  Kansas City totally dominated their first Monday Night Football win since 1975, due in part to the noise level of the crowd.  The city noise inspector measured the volume at “about 120 decibels,” and the local news reported the sound could be heard 4 miles away.

Look for Jamie Lee Curtis selling TVs.
