Notes:  It was a game marked by 9 sacks, 2 interceptions, 7 fumbles, 6 turnovers, 5 field goals and only 5 penalties.  Neither the Chiefs or the Broncos could put together much of an offensive performance; QB John Elway completed 16 of 36 for 183 yards and QB Bill Kenney completed 20 of 38 for 281 yards, but the ball was on the ground so frequently it looked more like European football.  Each quarterback connected for a 40+ yard pass, and WR Stephone Paige made a circus catch to keep the drive alive, but in the end the game came down to the feet of the kickers.  Nick Lowery booted a 28-yard field goal that ricocheted off the left upright and through to tie the game, and barefoot Rich Karlis bounced a 42-yarder off the left upright that fell dead on the field with seconds remaining in the game.

WR Steve Watson passed the 1,000-yard receiving mark for the third year in a row.  The Broncos’ 6 sacks set a new season record, passing their previous mark of 48.

Thanks Paul!
