Notes:  The Kansas City Chiefs scored the first two times they had the ball and went on to defeat the Green Bay Packers, giving Tom Bettis a successful debut as head coach, but his only win in the club’s 2-12 season.  Jan Stenerud’s 23-yard field goal and Mike Livingston’s three-yard TD pass to Henry Marshall gave the Chiefs an early 10-0 lead.  A Chester Marcol field goal of 31 yards closed the gap to 10-3 after three quarters.  After Ed Podolak scored from the 1, the Packers used a bit of trickery to spring Terdell Middleton loose on an 85-yard touchdown run on the ensuing kickoff.  The Chiefs’ final score came on a Jan Stenerud field goal of 22 yards.  This is a superb quality game, considering it is almost 30 years old.

Thanks Sean!
