Notes: Peyton Manning threw a short pass to Ronnie Hillman to break Brett Favre’s record and become the NFL’s leading passer. Then he threw 4 interceptions, completed 5 of 20 for 35 yards, and was benched in favor of QB Brock Osweiler.
Denver’s 1st half possessions looked like this: INT, punt, punt, INT, punt, INT, punt. Meanwhile the Chiefs piled up 4 field goals and a touchdown. After Manning’s 2nd half drives ended in a punt and an INT, he was taken out of the game.
The Chiefs became the first team all year to score against the Broncos league-leading defense on their first drive, and they also ensured the opponent did not run any offensive plays in their territory. The Broncos finally scored with 5:27 left to play in the 4th quarter, and scored their second TD after the 2-minute warning.
