Notes:  Denver scores on a fake punt/43-yard pass play, and they hold the lead for the remainder of the game to stay ahead of the Chiefs in the division race.  Andre Townsend scores the second touchdown when Kenney is sacked and fumbles the ball away.  On Kansas City’s next possession, Mecklenburg sacks Kenney and Denver recovers on the 1-yard line.  Willhite runs it in on the next play and the rout is on.

Willhite runs a punt 70 yards for a touchdown in the second quarter.  Meanwhile, Kenney stinks up the field as usual, completing 10 of 20 for 66 yards and losing 43 yards to sacks.

Kansas City’s defense finally makes a stand and, aided by a penalty, holds the Broncos to a field goal in the second quarter.  The Chiefs offense then finds its rhythm late in the quarter and drives the length of the field to score a touchdown.

In the third quarter, Lewis blocks a Denver punt and Kenney finds Carson in the end zone on the next play.
