Notes:  The Chiefs, winless at Invesco Field since the days of Head Coach Gunther Cunningham, try to break the streak without QB Trent Green, who was injured in Week 1.  KC’s bolstered defense frustrates Jake Plummer and the Broncos all day long, keeping them out of the end zone and shutting down the running game.  The Chiefs offense never puts it together though, despite a 126-yard rushing day from RB Larry Johnson, and the game goes to overtime where the Broncos finally wear down the KC defense and score a field goal.  KC drops to 0-2, Denver evens out at 1-1.  This game was the first ever between these two teams to not include a touchdown.
