Notes:  Kansas City comes in at 1-2 and cannot make any headway against “The Killer B’s”, but on defense S Lloyd Burruss scoops up FB Andra Franklin’s fumble and runs it to the Miami 30.  The drive results in a Nick Lowery field goal.  After another unproductive Miami possession, KC gets the ball and moves it at will, and as the second quarter begins the Chiefs kick another three-pointer.

The Dolphins begin to get their game plan rolling, but again turn the ball over, this time on TE Dan Johnson’s fumble.  However, the Chiefs are unable to gain a first down and punt the ball right back.  Miami again fumbles the ball away, but this time DE Kim Bokamper picks off QB Bill Kenney and the Dolphins go back on offense.  Miami fumbles yet again and the Chiefs recover.  On third and long the Dolphins pick off a blocked pass, and QB David Woodley is able to move his team to the goal line.  Franklin pushes into the end zone to give Miami the lead.

The Dolphins again take possession on a mishandled snap, but DB Durwood Roquemore picks off Woodley and returns the bal to the KC 47 with 14 seconds left in the half.  Kenney then throws another interception, this time to CB William Judson, who runs out the first half clock.

Miami gets the ball to start the second half but are forced to punt.  The Chiefs return the favor, and this time the dolphins take control and score on a two-yard touchdown pass to TE Dan Johnson.  Miami then holds KC scoreless in the fourth quarter.  Despite an interception by S Deron Cherry, CB Glenn Blackwood steals the ball back with less than 30 seconds left to seal the victory.

12 total turnovers in this game.
