Notes:  Tommy Kramer leads the Vikings deep in KC territory on their opening drive, but the Chiefs stiffen and hold Minnesota to a field goal.  After a couple of changes in possession, Kansas City is able to drive the ball to the Minnesota 12, where Nick Lowery kicks the tying field goal.

KC comes out strong after halftime with a great return by WR James Murphy and a great run by RB Billy Jackson.  After a hard series, QB Steve Fuller scrambles and completes a touchdown pass to Stan Rome for the lead and, ultimately, the win.  On Minnesota’s next drive they move the ball well, in part due to a long reception by Ahmad Rashad, but they are only able to muster 3 points.

KC comes up big with a 53-yard pass to WR Carlos Carson, but a questionable fumble that is picked up by Minnesota kills the drive on the 7.  The remainder of the game is a back-and-forth battle that comes right down to the wire.

This, the final game at Metropolitan Stadium in Bloomington, MN, is played in 21-degree weather with a -4 wind chill.  The cheerleaders are wearing mukluks!

Thanks Doug.
