Notes: QB Dave Krieg and the Seahawks offense move the ball easily against the Chiefs defense, scoring on their opening drive after a 77-yard march. QB Todd Blackledge takes over as the KC offense gets on the field, and he also takes his team close enough for K Nick Lowery to tie the game.
The Seahawks put the game away in the second quarter with a
pair of touchdowns, the first a 12-yard pass to TE Dan Ross, and the second a
5-yard run by RB Curt Warner that comes after rookie CB Eugene Robinson’s
interception. The Seahawks are driving
again late in the second quarter when S Deron Cherry makes his seventh interception
of the season. The anemic Chiefs cannot
convert the turnover into points, however, and they punt the ball back to
