Notes:  QB Dave Krieg and the Seahawks offense move the ball easily against the Chiefs defense, scoring on their opening drive after a 77-yard march.  QB Todd Blackledge takes over as the KC offense gets on the field, and he also takes his team close enough for K Nick Lowery to tie the game.

The Seahawks put the game away in the second quarter with a pair of touchdowns, the first a 12-yard pass to TE Dan Ross, and the second a 5-yard run by RB Curt Warner that comes after rookie CB Eugene Robinson’s interception.  The Seahawks are driving again late in the second quarter when S Deron Cherry makes his seventh interception of the season.  The anemic Chiefs cannot convert the turnover into points, however, and they punt the ball back to Seattle.

Kansas City gets the ball to start the second half and they move it well, reaching the Seattle 13 before the Seahawks defense stops their drive, and the Chiefs settle for another field goal.  The Chiefs defense turns in an admirable performance, but it can’t compensate for the feeble offense that only managed 53 rushing yards in the game.  A 17-yard pass to WR Steve Largent rounds out the day’s scoring, handing KC their ninth loss of the year.

Thanks Kenn!
