Notes:  The Seahawks move the ball quickly after running the opening kickoff to midfield, but the KC defense stuffs them at the 4-yard line and Seattle settles for a field goal.  Joe Montana then quickly moves the Chiefs the other direction, and RB Marcus Allen dives in from the 2 for a 7-3 KC lead.  After a Seattle punt, the Chiefs move again and this time K Nick Lowery makes it 10-3 on a 47-yard field goal.

In the second quarter, QB Rick Mirer again moves his team well, but he fumbles the ball at the KC 14 and LB Derrick Thomas scoops it up and runs it 86 yards for a touchdown.  Seattle manages another field goal for a 17-6 halftime score.

After Seattle forces a punt on the Chiefs’ opening drive of the second half, Mirer throws an interception to CB Albert Lewis who runs it back to the Seattle 13.  2 plays later Marcus Allen finds the end zone again.  On Seattle’s ensuing possession, LB Lonnie Marts forces a fumble and 2 plays later Allen runs it in for the third time, this time from 30 yards out.

Seattle finally manages to get in the end zone on a 2-yard run by RB Chris Warren when it no longer has any impact on the outcome of the game.
