Grade:  Good.  Not many games from the 70’s are as good quality as this one.  Slight color bleed, minor video distortion in a couple of places, and the second half is a little jumpy.  Color is vibrant, audio is very good.

Notes:  The Chiefs blow a couple of opportunities in this one, and that ends up being the difference in winning and losing.  They dominate the Giants throughout the first half, holding Phil Simms and his offense to just 81 yards.

In the second half, Harry Carson returned a fumble 22 yards for a touchdown with 1:42 remaining to climax New York’s comeback victory.  The Giants rallied from a 10-0 halftime deficit on touchdowns by Earnest Gray (53-yard pass from Phil Simms) and Billy Taylor (three-yard run.)  Brian Kelley’s jarring tackle on Mike Williams set up Carson’s score.  The Chiefs’ Tony Reed rushed for 106 yards.

Thanks Gil!
