Notes:  Kansas City is aggressive on the first play of the game with a 55-yard pass attempt that’s knocked away.  They continue the play-action game, though, and it pays off with a 43-yard touchdown pass to WR J.J. Birden.  The Chiefs defense holds the undefeated Eagles to a 3-and-out, stopping RB Herschel Walker’s run game in its tracks.

Philly has better success moving the ball in the second quarter, mostly due to QB Randy Cunningham’s scrambling ability, but they can only manage a field goal early in the quarter.  A second attempt late in the quarter from the 39-yard line is wide left.

After the Eagles convert a 4th-and-2 on the opening drive of the second half, LB Derrick Thomas’ sack contributes to a 43-yard field goal attempt that S Bennie Thompson blocks.
