Notes: The Chargers appear to be living up to their annual hype, as the run game gives the Chiefs defense all they can handle and the Chargers defense frustrates QB Alex Smith and the Chiefs. The Chiefs face a 21 point deficit and are down 27-10 with 13:24 remaining in the 4th quarter. But the offense wakes up, forces overtime, and wins the game in overtime when Alex Smith slashes into the end zone, completing the Chiefs’ largest comeback in franchise history. Alex Smith is 34 of 48 for 363 yards, and RB Spencer Ware finishes with 70 receiving and 129 rushing yards.
