Grade: Very Good. Great color, clean commercial edits. NBC loses video for about 2 minutes in 1st quarter but keeps audio feed.
Notes: Christian
Okoye and Barry Word trample the Seahawks defense early in the game, but the
two teams hold each other scoreless through the first quarter. The first half ends up being a kicking game,
but the second half becomes a more open game.
Derrick Thomas nails QB Dave Krieg on the 1-yard line, causing a fumble
that Saleaumua scoops up in the end zone for the Chiefs’ sole TD. Derrick Thomas sets the single-game sack
record with 7, 4 of them coming in the 4th quarter including 2 on
successive plays. He has his hands on
Krieg for number 8, but the slippery QB gets free and throws a 26-yard TD
strike to Skansi as time expires.
