Notes:  Christian Okoye and Barry Word trample the Seahawks defense early in the game, but the two teams hold each other scoreless through the first quarter.  The first half ends up being a kicking game, but the second half becomes a more open game.  Derrick Thomas nails QB Dave Krieg on the 1-yard line, causing a fumble that Saleaumua scoops up in the end zone for the Chiefs’ sole TD.  Derrick Thomas sets the single-game sack record with 7, 4 of them coming in the 4th quarter including 2 on successive plays.  He has his hands on Krieg for number 8, but the slippery QB gets free and throws a 26-yard TD strike to Skansi as time expires.  Seattle was penalized 13 times in this game for over 100 yards.  At one point the Seahawks had lost more yards in sacks (47) than they had gained rushing (43).
