Notes:  The KC run defense does a great job of stuffing the Buccaneers ground game, but QB Doug Williams stays cool and runs the offense efficiently.  Kansas City’s offense, led by QB Bill Kenney, can’t seem to get clicking but are able to take advantage of some Tampa Bay miscues and penalties.  WR J.T. Smith, RB Ted McKnight and RB Joe Delaney are stars for the Chiefs, while Williams and RB James Wilder carry the load for the Bucs.  Head Coach John McKay’s preference for the deep passing game turns out to be the weak link in the Bucs’ offense and leads to a loss that should have been a win.

No sacks, no interceptions, and Tampa Bay can only muster 12 rushing yards.  J.T. Smith notches the longest punt return ever against the Bucs – 50 yards.

Missing the third reel, from about 8:00 remaining in the 3rd quarter to the 2-minute warning in the 4th, , including 3 KC field goals.
