Since my sister was very NERVOUS about driving through the Los Angeles area, my mom drove her van (my sister's van) with my sister and her 2 girls. My dad, me, and my husband followed in my dads car. My sisters husband led the caravan with the moving truck pulling their little white NEON. Once we reached Indio, CA my sister and her family continued on their journey and we (mom, dad, me, and my hubby) turned around and went back home - It was a very emotional moment as we watched them drive off in the other direction on their new adventure. Many tears were shed as we waved to them from the car.
First set of pictures are of my family in the southeast area of California - This was the first leg of their journey to Florida.
This was the huge Budget Rental Moving truck that my brother in law drove and my sister followed in the mini van. That is my nephew in that picture and he was the co-pilot for his dad until Indio.
This was taken in front of my parents house. Getting everything ready to head out on the open road...
Here are the girls. They are ready to go and so are the cats. From what I heard, the cats traveled very well.
Here we are...in the parking lot of Burger King in Indio, CA (a total buttcrack of a city) saying our "goodbyes" with lots of tears. What a bunch of goofballs we are...We promised to go and visit soon and thanks to my mom's help, Eric and I are on our way to Florida in September! :-)

Ok, so you're thinking...
"How in the heck could you let your family go away without a party?"
Well, I won't disappoint....My sister's best friend threw her a SURPRISE shin-dig at the local bowling alley/bar. What a fun time that was...and to prove it, here are some photos!
Ok, so we're NOT pool sharks! LOL, but we sure did try and we had fun.
Here is my sister "getting her DRINK ON!" (Go Darla Go Darla Go Darla, it's your birthday! LOL)and her husband is digging in to the yummy cake.
This picture is so damn funny! I laugh everytime I see it! The cardboard guy is substituting for my husband who couldn't make the party. LOL. Don't ya just love the "I'm so Happy, I could just SH*T look on my sister's face? (hint, she is the one to the left of the cardboard dude)
It is so obvious that I have NO clue as to what I am doing here! I am attempting to learn the "Electric Slide" and failing miserably! LOL - but it was still a lot of fun!
What a Motley Crew this is eh? My sister, me, my mom, and her two friends. Bridget is the one in the shorts and who is responsible for throwing this party.
For the finale, Mike, one of the Kareoke guys sang this song, STROKIN (for the lyrics, click
HERE!
-be warned, the lyrics are for adults)
The name alone says it all! It was the most hilarious song and Mike got into it big time! Everyone was laughing so hard....a perfect song to end a pretty perfect little party!
