Germany formed a new Special Forces unit named Kommando Spezialkraefte, or KSK for short. KSK Besides support units it consists of 4 commando platoons. The first platoons are
specialized in ground infiltration, the second in airborne operations, the third in amphibious operations, the fourth in operations in the mountains or under arctic conditions.
