Hannah Leigh as the Phantom

At long last, some serious girl power! Hannah portrays the saddest and most abused Phantom ever. Her mother and trapper father has a rendevous. Only of course because the terrified abused woman is seeking safety from her monstrous husband. Because the man her mother was married to was an abusive drunk. Well naturally, the child ends up looking like daddy, who was deformed.

Daddy was also killed in a knife fight by the nameless drunken stepfather who caught the couple together. Her only comfort as a child is the trapper’s medal her mother gives her. Well, even though she is kind and loving she gets pet name like ‘it’ and monster from stepfather. He also makes her wear a cloth mask.

One day even that isn’t good enough, and he skins her face right off. Kills the mother, and dumps the child’s body. Coward that he is, he then burns down the homestead. By a cruel twist of fate, the child lives. She learns to kill for food, and for a pretty face. To her credit, she never leaves the woods.

Enter the typical annoying horror film family. She doesn’t really bother them until they laugh at her legend, told by a local ranger. Hurt at being mocked once again, she kills to protect herself and her home. Of course these people also steal from her and mess up her home.

By now most modern women should be cheering her on. Let down by the system and society, she still tries to be a nice girl. To be pretty and have a boyfriend. Of course all the men in this film scream like children and are no help whatsoever. She can’t even get her love interest to kiss her with her mask on. Ain’t that just like a man?
