Erik’s Pendulum

Found in Erik’s lair, this exact copy will take care of all your ‘yes’ or ‘no’ questions.

You’ll need:
The picture below
cardboard
glue
string
scissors

To make the pendulum, print two copies of the photo below. Aim for roughly one inch from tip to tip. Cut away the white area, leaving the balck diamond. Using one diamond as a template, cut a cardboard triangle to match. Affix a photo to the front and back of your cut cardboard. After the glue dries, punch a hole for your string.

There are no set rules to using a pendulum. You decide on what the pendulum’s movements will mean. You can hold the string in your hand and ask simple ‘yes’ or ‘no’ questions and the movement (up, down, left, right) will answer you. Some users also use a board like the one below, which you are free to print out for your use.
