Halloween

Fountain Reversed Masks Fountain

As Halloween is the season for ghosts, it shouldn’t surprise collectors to find Erik amongst the ghastly goodies. As you can see from the sampling below the Phantom comes in Halloween products for all ages and tastes.

Creppy Hollow Phantom Creepy Hollow Phantom of the Opera This painted figure stands at about three inches and comes from the 1992 edition of the Creepy Hollow line of Halloween decorative houses and figures. He stands holding a lantern in front of him with his head tilted to one side. One hand holds onto to his billowing cape. The expression on the face is a mixture of surprise and pain. Could he be fruitlessly searching for someone on a windy moonlit night?

Votive Creepy Hollow Phantom's Opera Creepy Hollow. This votive features a hinged bottom and goes with the figure above. It lights with a small tea candle, and looks great too.

Bucket Orange Bucket Frankly, your guess is as good as mine on what this bucket was used for. It features several different monsters, including the Phantom, so I’m guessing it was made for Trick or Treating. But the monsters also look like the Monster in My Pocket group, so maybe it was designed to hold the little monsters instead.

Phantom Harmonica Phantom Harmonica Jack in the Box. One of the oddest Phantom toys out there, this harmonica really works.

Kid's Meal Toy The Phantom of the Opera’s Gondola Jack in the box, 2002. As part of the Universal monsters kid’s meal toy Halloween lineup, the Phantom appeared complete with a gondola on wheels. The toy can be pushed across any flat and level surface to simulate the Phantom’s lake crossings. This is a rather nice item, considering truly interactive toys with a Phantom theme can be far and few in between. The Phantom also detaches from the boat adding to playtime value.

Death’s Head Candle OK, maybe this one stretches the limit of credulity, but you’ll have to admit he does hit Leroux’s description of Erik, more or less.

Creepy Hollow Phantom Opera Dress Hanger This piece is perfect for rigging up to a door so it rises to meet visitors. Or you could just hand him around the punch bowl.

Monsters BallPhantom of the Organ Department 56, 2004. Bach’s Toccata and Fugue is played beautifully by this charming Phantom. The Phantom’s arms move and the eyes of the grim reaper on the organ flash. There’s a handy volume control, on and off switch box, and great locomotion. The torches on the organ glow and the piece can be operated with or without the music or action features.See Video!

Mansion Mansion on Ravenwood Lane Hallmark, 2004. The skeletal organist (sold separately) has an uncanny resemblance to our beloved Erik. His part of the rotating stage plays Bach’s organ piece as well.

Monsters Ball Monsters Ball Lemax, 2005. The Phantom shown here is part of a much larger piece that boasts six dancing couples and a ticket taker. The organ lights up and spirited music is offset by creepy sound effects. See Video!
