1997 The Mighty Wurlitzer: Music for Movie Palace Organs New World Records. The collected scores on this compilation are circa 1920’s and were written to accompany the silent films of that era. Included on the cassette tape is a medley from the original Phantom of the Opera film starring Lon Chaney. Cassette tape, approximately 40 minutes.

1991 Show Stoppers Vol. 1 Metacom, Inc. Michael Crawford sing Music of the Night to a delightfully eerie background music. Yes it appears to be the same track he did a duet on but sans Babs.

1993 My Final Vision Intersound. Frank Pellico gives his last live performance on the Chicago Blackhawks 6/51 Barton Theatre Organ before its destruction. The Toccata and Fugue/Phantom of the Opera track is wonderful, the organ’s 100-horsepower blower and 4,000 pipes giving a new dimension to the music. CD, 45 minutes.

1994 Classic Creepies Warner Music. It should come as no surprise to Phantom fans that this CD has two Phantom tracks. The first is the orchestral suite from the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical. The second is Bach’s Toccata and Fugue in D Minor.

1996 Brain Conley—Stage To Stage Telstar Records. Conley performs Music of The Night along with several other Webber favorites. His Al Jolson imitation for The Anniversary Song isn’t bad either. Cassette tape, over 30 minutes.

1997 Forbidden Broadway DRG Records Incorporated. (Volumes 1-4) An irreverent handling of Broadway musicals, and still one of the funniest sets out there. The music here is surprisingly rich for the fact that the only accompaniment is a piano. Rich vocalizations and witty rewriting of many show standards. Guaranteed to offend serious Phantom fans, but ever better for the fact. 4 CD boxed set, over four hours.

2001 Nightmare Manor—Monstrous Music From Beyond Delta Entertainment Corporation. Stylishly smooth and engrossing the CD includes some solid techno style pieces. The included track, The Phantom’s Organ, warrants mentioning for its departure from the usual orchestral sweepings normal in a Phantom inspired piece. CD, 57 minutes.

2002 The Best of Broadway Angel Records. The track of Music of the Night on this album flows well with the rest of the selections. Sung by American baritone Thomas Hampson evokes not only Webber’s vision but the true feel of Broadway. This rendition is as sensuous with just a touch of grit and sure to please true Broadway fans.

2004 The Best of Broadway: The American Musical Decca Broadway. This best of album includes Music of the Night performed by Michael Crawford. The CD booklet has a full page photo of Crawford and Brightman, plus a short if snippy review.

Music of the Night: Broadway Opening Night Intersound, MCMXCV. This disc of pianist Van Craven treats POTO fans to two tracks. Music of the Night and All I ask of Youu have the album’s coffeehouse feel and are over all too soon.

Broadway Romance: Diane Ketchie and Raymond Sarr Pcking the prostigous roles of Carlotta and Raoul from the San Francisco production, this married pair go beyond expectations. Ketchie, trained in classical opera, soars on the four Phantom tracks she covers, and the former Raoul get to sing the Phantom’s Music of the Night. The sequel seems to be alive and well as The Heart is Slow to Learn is still touted as a preview.
