Winning the Top Prize in the Beginning-Good or Bad?
In the world of Professional Wrestling, all of us wrestlers who go out each week need something to remind us that we're good at what we do. We need to get some decide and make goals for ourselves as well. Having something worth improving for is a necessity, in my opinion. Once that goal has been achieved, it means the world to us. Patience is the key to success. You've heard that a hundred times, right? Not everybody understands that concept, however. When is it too soon to achieve your goals?

You must have patience. Don't join a company having in your mind that you'll go straight for the top title or 'prize'. If you've just started out in the wrestling business, you DO NOT want your first title win to be a "World" title. Well, maybe you do, but trust me, don't let it happen. Why not? I'm sure you think that I'm crazy for saying so, but I'm right. Trust me, I know what I'm talking about here. If you go straight to the top (meaning of course you must be really good, the roster is lame, or you have a good friendship with the owner) and win the top prize, what else is there to fight for? What else is there to improve for? In your eyes, those smaller titles have no meaning because you are above everyone else. You have reached a goal that some have to wait for much longer to achieve. At least most of you that experience this will be doomed, and it will show. You've become too good, too fast.

You're the man, the one to beat. It doesn't matter how good or sorry the talent is, you won the top prize in your first title win, in your rookie year. Look at the WWE's Brock Lesnar. He has done so much in his career and he is still in his 20's. What else does he have to shoot for? He's already won King of the Ring, won the Royal Rumble, Main Evented WrestleMania and won the WWE Championship. Plus he's beaten Undertaker in a Hell in a Cell. By realizing your goals at such an early stage of your career, is career suicide for you. Your goals change. In your opinion, the top isn't as hard as everyone said t would be. Cockiness, that's the result. The ego that was once tamed and non-existent now shows and is bigger than ever. Why wouldn't it grow? You're unstoppable now, right?

So you're telling me this isn't you, right? Think long and hard, and you'll believe me to be right. Though this isn't true for 100% of you readers out there, it is very close to being 100% of you. How do you avoid this chaotic catastrophe? Well, don't shoot high when you're beginning your career. Have a goal to one day be THE MAN, but a low, and ultimately, in the end when you finally do become the man, it will be much more important to you. You will see that the wait was definitely worth it.
