We open to see Misty Bradford in her nice silver car, talking on her cell phone while on the high way. We listen in.
Misty Bradford: Well.. I'm on my way to pick up my mom from the airport right now Matt. We're having Dinner at Red Lobster tonight, should be fun catching up on old times. ..... all right, I'll talk to you tomorrow. Bye.
We switch scenes, and open inside of PKA’s home, where we see PKA, Adam Payne, and Ash all sitting in the living room.
PKA: You need to do something about it. I paid Smith off the other night, and that’s the last time.
Adam Payne: Look, I told you I’d take care of it and damnit I will.
Ash: All right guys, chill out. Adam and I’ll go talk to him tonight.. we’ve already set up an appointment.
PKA: Appointment? What’re you gonna talk about? What’re you gonna do there?
Adam Payne: Talk things over, finish it all up. Maybe pay him off, if we can.
PKA: We? I’m the one with the money here.. you haven’t been wrestling that long man..
Ash: I have money.. and if you don’t want to have the problems on you to pay him.. then okay.. we’re fine with that.
PKA doesn’t quite understand what’s going on here. It seems to him like they’re turning against him, or what more shocks him, Ash is seeming like she’s against him.. and on Adam’s side.
PKA: Wait, what? What’s going on here, Ash?
Ash: Nothing.. nothing’s going on.
She looks over at Adam. He looks at her at the same time. PKA stands up.
PKA: Something is going on. You know I am apart of this team, I want to help as much as I can but Adam, its because of you we have to pay off Smith to keep clean.. and I expect you to pay him on time, which you didn’t. Ash, why are you taking his side?
Ash: I’m not taking anybody’s side, PKA.
PKA: Right, of course. You could’a fooled me.
Ash stands up and hugs PKA. She then rubs his shoulders.
Ash: Look, its been a stressful week, we’re all stressed out. Don’t worry babe, it’ll be okay. Adam and I’ll go there tonight..
PKA: I’m going to help pay as well.. but I just want to make it clear we wouldn’t have this much to pay if it was paid on time.. plus he’s blackmailing us by making us pay way more than usual. Its ridiculous.
Adam Payne: Well, sorry to be such a ‘pain’ PKA. I thought you loved pain? Oh well, I guess you’re just having problems I’m not aware of. Could it be you.. sex life?
PKA quickly turns to Adam with a shocked look on his face. What makes Adam Payne think he’s capable of saying something like that and staying in PKA’s home?
Adam Payne: Well.. I just noticed lately you and Ash haven’t been quite clicking.. and maybe she could use a little relaxer every now and then, you aren’t always around you see.
PKA: You know what? Get out! Go! Out!
Adam smiles, happy with what he’s done. His goal has been reached. He looks at Ash, who looks like she’s going to cry, but she isn’t because of what Adam said, but of what she’s been doing with Payne. Minutes pass, and Payne has gathered some clothes and other items, and he walks out. Luckily its daylight. He may be able to find a hotel to stay in for the rest of the day and night. Then again, he already has one, for later ‘gatherings’ PKA is unaware of. Adam stops at the door, and turns to Ash.
Adam Payne: I’ll see you tonight.
Ash: Aight. Bye.
Adam walks out of the house and slams the door. PKA turns to Ash, and they both have a seat on the couch. He looks at her with concern.
PKA: What’s going on?
Ash hesitates.
Ash: N-nothing, why?
PKA: Look, if what he said was true-
Ash: No, its not. I know you have a lot to worry about with nWo and all.. its fine.
PKA: Well, okay, if you say so. Look, tomorrow morning, I’ll cook breakfast for you, we’ll have a good time, Adam won’t be around.
Ash fakes a smile.
Ash: That’d be sweet. Thank you.
PKA: No problem. But you’re right, I do have a lot to worry about with nWo. I have a match with that damn Mystery Two guy, one of the punks that, in my opinion, cost me my match with Quake. If it wasn’t for them, I’d’a won that match, and Ichabod would had announced ME the winner. And now I face him in a match on Malice in a No disqualification match, and I plan on teaching him a lesson.
Ash: You should really channel your rage at your opponents instead of taking it out on Adam like you have been.
PKA: Wait, hold up.. there you go again! Look, misterio dos guy had better-
Ash: What, are you Spanish now?
PKA smiles, as does Ash.
PKA: Si, si. Look, I’m just saying that you seem like you’re on his side, more than on mine, if at all on my side. But if I take your advice, the anger I’ve been having lately for Adam, will be enough to destroy The Mystery Man. I wonder what’s the mystery? If he’s so big, so talented, so much of a superstar that the nWo signed him, then why must he hide like this? His identity might be a mystery, but the winner of this match most certainly is not.
With that said, the scene fades to black.
