The scene opens up in a public building, though the location is unknown, as the picture we all see is that of one person and one person only, sitting on a black bench, with a white wall behind him and a fake plant beside him. This man wears baggy blue jeans, a regular plain white t-shirt, and white Adidas. This is PKA. He sits, leaning over with his hands cupped. His head is bowed. His eyes are closed. A few moments pass, something is said in the background as if it were to be over an entercom but its hard to make out what it was. PKA opens his eyes. He lifts his head up, looking into the camera.
"The world is a dangerous place, full of crime, drugs, abusive men and women, no good people, etcetera.. whatever.. the world is full of them. But you know, there are good people out there. Bu do you ever notice how it is the good people who get the worse things done to them? The worse things happen to those who do good..yet while those who choose a negative path in life, seem to get a one way ticket to 'Okay World'.. so to speak. Its kind of like me, being International Champion last year this time.. actually a couple months before now.. but I was on top of my game, and doing quite well at what I do. The sky was the limit, yet the only place I ended up going was the hospital. Just because some selfish punk had to run me over with a Dodge Ram, my career was almost ended. And to this day, that person has never been caught. I did nothing wrong, and yet the absolute worse thing that could happen, happened. That's why the International Title means so much to me. RaShawn TiTan seems to believe we will put on a match of the year candidate in the Ladder match we're set to have, and I agree completely. Though, on the other hand, RaShawn also feels as though he is ready for the International Title. He says that the rookie should get a shot at the big time now.. and I see where he's coming from. He would make a good champion, I do believe. While some of his decisions in the ring are not always the best, he gets the job done. If he doesn't get the job done, he leaves you thinking he did his best. RaShawn TiTan is, as he said, a rookie. I was once a rookie, and yet, I still picture myself as one. I'm experienced with only a few years, but being experienced with a few years does not automatically qualify you to be a pro, or whatever you want to call it. I'm still learning, which is what a rookie does, learn. RaShawn TiTan needs to also learn that everything happens for a reason.. then again, so do I.. but that's not the issue here. Everything does happen for a reason and when the time is right, something will happen for whatever reason. Its like I was saying before, not every person can have things go their way. There are always those unfortunate ones. And unfortunately, I was one of those people last year. Now I am back, and with the International Title once again around my waist. RaShawn TiTan, you want that belt, but I can't give it to you. I realize you will fight the good fight, and do your best. I've done that in the past too. But trust me, your time is not now. You still have much to learn, as do I, yet in this match, we can teach each other a little bit. We can both learn from one another. I want to know how you feel, what you think, how you opperate, RaShawn TiTan. You want to learn what its like to be International Champion, to be up there, as I am.. and well, we'll not only turn this Ladder match for the International Title into a match of the year candidate, but also a learning experience."
PKA sits up, and puts his hands in his lap. He looks around at the scene behind the camera, that of which we do not see. He looks back at the camera, seemingly in his own world though..
"We all need to talk to one another, get to know one another, live with one another. Life cannot go on without knowing your neighbor. For months and months I've competed in NWO and let me tell you something.. I hardly know anything about anyone here. There are the select few that I know about, but a lot of guys, including you at one time, RaShawn TiTan, I knew nothing about. That can't be, anymore. How can one go through life not knowing the people around him? Its like turning down a million dollars, because life and friendship in that life is worth more than anything.. its your identity.. its your freedom.. its your world. Don't block yourself from the world, as I have. Let's take this time, and learn from it. Each second we have is precious.. so, during the International Title match, let's cherish that moment. I have no doubt in my mind that we will put on one helluva match. I bet you would agree that this match will surpass many ladder matches to come.. your specialty match is in fact a ladder match, and I have, as you pointed out, been around a few ladders in my time. Very good observation by you. You will make a fine International Champion, when the time is right."
It looks as though a tear is about to gather in PKA's left eye.. both eyes water. He holds back though, and for whatever reason, keeps his cool from whatever is bothering him.
"The world is a cruel place to live in. The wrestling ring is no different. Just as the real world is, the wrestling ring translates into competition. Everything is about competition. There are times in life where you are put up against an opponent of which you believe you cannot battle, and don't even feel like trying. In the wrestling ring, there are instances like that as well. The real world and the wrestling ring we are so familiar with collide head to head in our own little world that we call NWO.. because not everything or everyone is meant to be perfect.. not even me.. but with the International championship, it represents perfection. With the title at stake, competition will rise to a new level. The fear of losing will be in both of our minds. You have a reputation to uphold, as you are known for being a favorite in ladder matches.. and I have a title to retain. Though there will be no loser on Malice. In the wrestling world, there are winners and losers, but in this match, both of us will come out on top. Its too bad it can't be the same way for real life. There are winners. There are losers. At this time, I'm a winner.. and..."
PKA pauses.. he stands up. The camera pans out, expanding the shot as we see men and women walking down hallways, dressed up in all kinds of outfits.. this resembles a hospital with nurses and doctors.. the man, the doctor, approaches PKA with an uneasy look on his face. PKA fears the worst.
"I'm sorry..." says the doctor. "We lost him."
PKA sits back down. He does not cry, though. He sits there, in his own little world.. the doctor leaves. PKA looks into the camera.. yet he doesn't..
"I'm a winner.. yet I feel like a loser.. can I be both? Should I fear anything now that something this tragic has happened right in my very own presence? Under my very own watch? Right.. beneath me? Right.. on the ground I walk? In my home..? I guess, things happen for a reason, right? I'd like someone to explain to me the reason, please...... Its kind of ironic, though, because this time yesterday I was talking of how I was so lucky, and that my life has turned out pretty good.. this was life, yesterday.. and now.. I feel so unlucky.. I suppose that, this is death."
PKA then cups his hands again, and places his forehead onto his hands.. we fade..to..black.
