What Is Love Ride?
Love Ride is a one day annual motorcycle event, sponsored by Harley-Davidson of Glendale, California. Originally started in 1984 to raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association, it started with just 500 bikers who raised $40,000. Since that beginning, Love Ride has raised millions of dollars for people in need. Last year, Love Ride 18, lead by Grand Marshal Jay Leno and Honorary Grand Marshal Robert Patrick, saw 15,000 bikers, in rainy weather, raise almost $1 million.
Proceeds from this year's Love Ride 19 will benefit Reading By 9, the Muscular Dystrophy Association and 14 other charities. Once again, Robert and the other bikers will ride from Harley Davidson in Glendale to Castaic Lake. You can show your support for Robert and this charitable endeavor by sponsoring him in the event.
