Mexican Giant Musk Turtle - Staurotypus triporcatus

This impressive turtle can reach a length of up to 37.9 cm. It has three strong keels along the carapace that are present throughout its life. It occurs in Central America, Veracruz, Belize and northeastern Guatemala to western Honduras. This specimen died in captivity.
