Razor-backed Musk Turtle - Kinosternon carinatum

This species reaches a length of 16 cm. It ranges almost completely within the gulf coast plain from Oklahoma, Arkansas south to the gulf. It has a high peaked carapace that looks like a triangle when viewed from the front. There is a distinct medial keel. This specimen died in captivity.
