Russian Tortoise - Testudo horsfieldi

This tortoise's carapace is almost as broad as it is long, making it very rounded. They can reach a length of 22 cm and are found in southeastern Russia through Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan and Baluchistan. This specimen died in captivity.
