Here are the extra-bits, information that is fan-made, but ties along with the official information. Note: I have no hate or dislike any characters in YYH. Nope, so if you think that, you are sadly mistaken. I just use common sense and what I think may happen if I was that certain character and in their shoes (as well as trying to keep them “in character”).

Name:   Kuwabara Kazuma

[Go here for his official info.]

Nicknames:   “Mafia Prince” by his team; Pumpkin, Pumpkin-Head, Angel-cakes, woman, girly-man, damsel in PMS-distress (“He’s in distress because he’s got PMS!”), Wonder-boy, Sister Christian, Mr. Do-Right, Mr. Sensitive, Sparkles (due to sparkling when his fifth seal breaks), Cat-man (others call him this as well, it’s a reference to Batman, but is called this because of his fondness for cats),  Trouble Magnet, Ginger Spice (lol Spice Girls), etc, etc by Reficul. [Yes, Ref can seem quite mean and rude, but he does it because he happens to like him…more than a lot, beyond the term of “like-liking” Kazu-kun.]

Age:   19+

Astrological Sign:   Sun Sign = Sagittarius; Sign Rising = Libra; Moon Sign = Cancer; House = Aries

Chinese Zodiac:   Tiger

Blood Type:   O+ (Not that it will matter in the end.)

Time Frame:   Post YuuYuu Hakusho.

Past Life:   Kaguya (a girl! LOL)

Voice:   As he matures, Kazuma’s voice mellows slightly, it’s not as scratchy as nails on a chalk board due to fluctuating hormones (though sometimes even know he can sound just like it when he raises his pitch out of anger, frustration, or when he is being a spaz). His voice is still deep and hoarse, mostly more hoarse than deep.  He still shrieks when he gets over-excited, melodramatic, irate, etc.  He has such a versatile voice, as in he can manipulate his voice easily and produce different sounds (which often can sound very silly). He honestly sounds like a mix between Jonathan Davis (from the band “Korn”) and Scooter Ward (from the band “Cold”), sometimes switches between the two (when he talks, that is, he sounds like how they sing).

2nd Voice:  In his more Angelic form, Kazuma has a speaking voice that sounds similar to Ayame Sohma from Fruits Basket (the English version). [Hell, he sounds a bit like David Bowie.]

Skin:  Pale (which is befitting for redheads, especially those with copper locks)

Hair:   He grows his red-orange (fiery ginger) hair out, revealing the fact that he does have curly to wavy hair. Sometimes he puts his hair in dreads, or in some cases, he has his hair partially in dread locks (and not the braided kind). His hair is thick and strong, and has a very nice healthy sheen to it, giving him some sort of an “illusion” halo.

Appearance:   First off, Kazuma never had such prominent cheekbones that stick out like from one side to the other side of Texas. The anime screwed him up right there. Well, honestly, he used to, but that was when he was much younger and in his early teens. As he grew older, his face features soften and angular shaped face also became longer.

Now that he is older, his cheekbones and other prominent facial features are still there, but look much more refined, soften by maturity and time. Kazuma is like a swan, from hatching as an “ugly” duckling to growing up into something very beautiful, something handsome and elegant. He started out as the least attractive to becoming the most attractive (tying with Youko Kurama), and his long hair is certainly an attribute.  He also has earrings in his ears (his uncle/father must have rubbed off on him with that one).

He has deep eyes, his small pupils giving him a look of intensity, and yet, he has a gaze is perpetually in a dreamy-like state. When a few of his seals break or weaken, his eyes change from amber to the color of a clear blue sky. He has a more angelic appearance about him, and needless to say, he looks exactly the picture of one when he’s in his true angelic state. [The best comparison I can find is that of Sephiroth from Final Fantasy (Advent Children), when Kazuma is in his angelic state. The main difference is his red hair and the fact that he has eyes that shine like fire or two miniature blazing stars (and of course, he doesn’t have his clothes). His hair does turn blonde, though, like a very light strawberry blonde (looks almost white or silver). Like his true father, he also has twelve wings, which he can fold away at will. People would no doubt laugh at him and say that he has been all girly-fied, but that wouldn’t be a nice thing to do (nor wise).]

Personality:   Kazuma never really had a good childhood, even when he was adopted and raised by his Uncle (and especially his cousin). His uncle, who had an unusual demeanor, was hardly ever around at times. He would often come and go for months at a time, meaning he was raised more than likely by his tough, hard as nails, cool as a cucumber sister-figure (cousin).  Shizuru, like her father, was naturally tough, but wasn’t as easy to get along with as the good-natured man was. She would often beat his ass, mainly when she believed he was being stupid or too much of a pansy. [She once caught him trying on make-up and wearing one of her dresses, prancing around like a girl in it. She beat and berated him for that one (just one time, though, then decided it would be fun to get him to play “dress up” with her). She was also the one who told him to never hit girls, or else she will beat the crap out of him if she ever were to find out that he did.]

Now, as for the mother of the family, she is a woman who spends most of her time in isolation, rarely ever getting out. Most people would think that she is a sickly woman or perhaps her skin is too sensitive for her to hang outside freely in the sunlight. And both assumptions are true, since she is seen with a parasol and is covered in thick robes (or kimono) whenever she does happen to walk out amongst the public (which would usually happen in late evening). However, that is only half of the reason. For one, she isn’t human; in fact, this beautiful, pale, and honey blonde haired “woman” is a youkai (but not an ice demoness). The second, and is most definitely a shocker, is that she isn’t a “she”. Yes, as feminine as this demon looks and sounds, the woman or “mother-figure” in this family is actually male.

Kazuma has helped taken care of “her”, along with Shizuru, without really knowing the truth. Shizuru knows, of course, and so does her father (after all, he MARRIED him), but no one else (besides really close friends). Despite the fact that the demon spends most of his time isolated either in the Master bedroom or downstairs in the tearoom, one can see where Shizuru got most of her personality from. [And please don’t ask how they managed to have her, since he is a demon and all species of demons are different.] “She” doesn’t talk much, but when he usually does, he usually has something important to say. He used to be a sure firecracker way back when his lover was young, but now that they live in the city (and since he gave up living in demon world to be with him) he has to keep it at a seemingly all time low. He can’t have people finding out that he’s male, let alone the fact that he’s a demon, particularly the latter.

[When Kazuma does find out that the woman is (when he finally reached his 20s), in fact, a male demon, he becomes confused with himself for awhile. The most important matter is that he begins to question his sexuality all the more. He’s typically bisexual, just like his sister, but wonders if he could perhaps be more homosexual than he ever thought he was. He always saw “her” as being beautiful, and “she” would sometimes brush his hair (especially when it got much longer) and would either braid it for him or make it look nice. The demon is also the one mostly responsible for teaching Kazuma the old ancient and traditional ways of Japan, which he greatly admires. It also means that Shizuru is part demon and that the only completely human member in their strange little family is the father-figure, but even he has extraordinary (psychic) powers.]

Shizuru helped toughen the boy up, trying to keep him straight in line (which was no easy task), and while his uncle was home, he would often teach him to fight. The older man taught him how to play fair, never use sheer force or violence unless it’s necessarily called for. Even though Kazuma knew martial arts, he had preferred to use good ol’ fashion street fighting, and stuck with it until almost his twenties.

Even though Kazuma is tough and is a natural born leader (he takes the initiative to lead quite easily), he often has a tendency to be run over by those around him, whether he wants it or not. He is so eager to please his higher colleagues, his teammates, that he intends to generally forget what is best for himself. The same can be said when help others as well, since he is a natural born humanitarian, and will push aside his own health and benefits for others, even sacrifice his own life. He used to be worse when he was younger, but such ways are much still prominent in his life. It’s sad to say, that those who tend to always push him and know that they are, usually expect him to spring back upon his feet (the Rekai Tantei for example, especially Yusuke, Hiei, and Koenma).

Kuwabara is loyal to a fault. He often hides his true feelings behind his masks, which causes people to not really understand him well. These traits, including the fact that he can be a push over, are the ones that may most likely lead him to his downfall… And then there’s his fiery temper.

Kazuma’s temper can be his worst enemy, especially while growing up, it would often blind him and make him very near sighted. However, now, he’s learned to handle his temper better, managing and constructing it so it will work for him, not against him. Though it is still a weakness, he now channels it into a weapon of fury. A very frightening weapon of fury, where once he’s started, there’s no stopping him.

Kazuma is still quick-tempered. Though he is not easy to enrage as he used to be, you can still make him pissy, like he’s in a fluctuating state of PMS.  He will yell (or shriek), if you push him enough. However, God help you when he becomes stoic (which can be a definite sign that you are going to die).

He is more eloquent, more dramatic as he gets older. He literally has moments of melodrama (even the prima-donna kind). He still poses, makes dramatized action moves, moves with passion, and even dances (often appearing very silly).  Reficul can be a bit dramatic (particularly because he is exceedingly skilled in martial arts and far beats Kazu-Kun in that field), but Kazuma takes the cake (always have, always will). Here is where Kazuma’s eccentricity comes out most often. He even causes those around him to stare with unyielding wide eyes of surprise, gawking. He can be such the drama queen.

Another fact is his extreme love for cats. This boy cannot talk about Kurama and his roses. Nope. He has no room to speak whatsoever. He has such a great love for cats, which he gets excited about seeing one. He just throws an ecstatic fit over them, he has to play with them and talk in a baby voice when he speaks to them. It’s both hilarious and downright adorable, to say the least.

And where Kuwabara is eloquent and flamboyant, he is also noted for being quite the charmer. The man honestly can’t help himself, and is often seen as a flirt even when he is not flirting at all. He is a hopeless romantic at heart and often speaks passionately.

He is also both courageous and determined. If there is anything he is afraid of, he’ll face it (especially when has no choice but to). He is very determined and refuses to give up, he’ll die trying, and if necessary, he’ll bring his enemies down with him.

Kazuma is manly, but he is not as manly as he would like to believe he is.

He actually gets pretty fickle with style and taste. He will be the man in the group to point out that something doesn’t match or complement well, especially if it’s the décor. “Stripes do not go well with poka-dots! And what’s this? Peacock feathers? …And tie-dye? There’s too much activity going on here! These colors clash! This room is a living nightmare!” …I blame the “women” in his life (Shizuru is a girl, but his adoptive “mom” isn’t). And I wouldn’t doubt that he’d somehow have his own home with cat-like decorations, yet, I bet it would somehow turn out looking rather classy and homey.

Don’t let him fool you; he knows how to apply make-up on. He’s painted his face man times, since he was a boy, and with his “mom’s” help, learned how to be better at it. He’s tried all sorts of things. His excuse is that ancient samurais and warriors painted their faces, too, and that make-up is an old Japanese tradition that even men used to wear. “Even the manliest of men have worn facial paint!” What he says is true, but it still doesn’t change the fact that he’s worn make up.

He also tends to scream and flail like a girl whenever his “sister” is present in the same room, knowing that she is about to inflict bodily harm upon him in some way. She is still the one thing he is afraid of the most, more so than horror movies (which he actually enjoys watching and knows the survival guide like the back of his hand). He whines and makes funny melodramatic faces when he knows he’s going to receive an ass whooping from her.

His ways and weirdness remind me sort of that famous and well loved singer “David Bowie” (hmm, it makes you wonder, really).

[In his angelic form, he is rather stoic, calm and serious. He looks angelic, the perfect picture of an angel, but also mysterious. For a smile, he usually smirks, less driven utterly mad by rage, then his grin becomes wide, mouth filled with sharp teeth, and he darkens (especially his face, cloaked in shadow).]

He also tends to suffer in his sleep at night, if not from spirit haunting him, then by the premonitions and dreams he receives. Some visions aren’t at all clear; others seem to be like nightmares.

Intelligence:   Kuwabara may not be the smartest person, at least not in book smarts, but he does make up for it. He’s a hard worker, tries his hardest, and is very determined to get a job well done. So, what if he is not intelligent like Kurama? This boy can actually come up with plans or strategies, especially when it is called for it (or when he sees an opening, like a weakness). And though he is often calm and tells his friends and gang to not worry, he is actually very leery of others (whom he thinks believes he shouldn’t trust) and keeps on his toes when it comes to his surroundings. He is alert, even if he doesn’t appear like he is. He’s also a bit of a conspiracy theorist, believing that you shouldn’t let your guard down, especially surrounded by supposed enemies. The drinks and food could have been poisoned; a foe could be hiding just anywhere waiting to spring an attack; anything. He is one who will not trust just about anyone, one has to earn trust and respect. He is always keeping his eye out for that “traitor”, that “wolf in sheep’s clothing”.

Music Taste:   He usually prefers Heavy Metal and rock and roll, anything rock, really. He seems to be fond of bands that have the ability to sing in English (and a lot of them have long or “big” hair). Despite this, I can also see him into musicals (though he’ll probably pretend he isn’t), especially the Broadway Musical “Cats”.

Extra Interests:   Thanks to those years in high school studying science and philosophy, Kazuma now knows and has taken interest in alchemy. After Yukina leaves (much to his aching heart), however, he moves onto wanting to receive a degree in law instead. Regardless of this, Kazuma still knows alchemy and has been studying symbols of ancient languages and cultures. Alchemy is interesting to him, just as the Necronomicon is (thanks to him liking horror films and reading scary books, Kazu has a bit of a dark side to him, though he’s not like Hiei, Kurama, or Yusuke).

Favorite Animal:   Kazuma loves all animals (whether from this world or not), but his favorite is that of cats. [Inside Facts: Cats are defined as being very magical creatures; some consider them to be good (and to some, like gods and/or protectors) while others consider them to be servants of evil. The Golden Cat demon is as powerful as The Nine Tailed Kitsune (fox-demon).]

Known Powers:   He has all of the same abilities as he once had before, but also now has more (and extras). For one, he can make his sword much, much larger (which is very terrifying to look at, because it’s so big and long that he can stab or slice you with it from a distance if he wanted to, it’s over nine feet long originally, but he can extend it to great lengths), or if he chose to, he can turn his sword into a bloody similarity of that of a chainsaw (scary). Similar to his spirit shards, he can rake his fingers and slide or cut people with solid energy (it’s not his nails). He also has the ability of creating force fields with his solid energy or manipulates his energy; like creating long appendages with hands that claw or latch onto you, usually ripping you apart (don’t piss him off too much).  He also has telekinetic powers, pyrokinetic capabilities, and his psychic abilities have increase tremendously. He can also fly, thanks to being an angel, and can be healed (and protected) by his own aura. Hell, his aura, when powered up enough, can cause a great amount of damage around him (by the time his third seal is broken).

[He has the same powers of his father and the other angels, but he has not learned them all yet.] And like the angels (and Yusuke, Kurama, Hiei, and other demons), he can switch back and forth with his human and angelic form (when his fourth seal is broken). The fifth seal, when broken, his physical appearance changes completely (he’s still somewhat manly, but appears like that of what an angel would), though it had been changing through the course of time (as the seals weakened). When his sixth seal is broken, he can bend or manipulate the elements. When the seventh seal is broken, he will have regained all access to his powers as well as finally the ability to reach his most powerful form (he blazes like the sun, like a true Seraphim; the term itself means “fiery ones”, and he also has all twelve of his wings). The first seal is what keeps the other seals from breaking; it is like the outer wall that protects those that are inside (this seal weakened on itself).

Kazuma’s seals are still weakening and slowly breaking, one by one (once all of his seals are broken, he will be able to fully access his ultimate and fiery form). His seals keep him from reaching his full potential and also help keep back most of his angelic instincts. All angels are pure, fallen or not. The gods cannot find wrong in them because of this, so they cannot send them to hell, instead, they try to lock them away when they do find them (and they are somehow captured…it’s sad, really). Angels have such strong instincts towards justice (between what is right and wrong), therefore they can be rather merciless to the ones they find or deem guilty (or worthy of punishment). When an angel switches to his more negative side or traits (like Yin and Yang), he becomes dark in appearance (a Seraphim actually becomes black, like a dark figure with blazing eyes and frightening sharp jagged teeth and long fangs). Angels have God-complexes and are prone to megalomania. [Honestly they can be as bad as or worse than Sensui was before he died and killed Yusuke (who then resurrected). He is still very much alive, much to everyone’s grief (expect Itsuki, of course).] No matter what, angels always remain pure by nature and are thus found guiltless, despite what horrible actions they may take.

[Male angels also have the ability to reproduce with one another when there are no likely females; most have actually paired off with other males of their species. The ones that get preggy are usually the more submissive partners, and have all of the same mood swings that a woman has when she’s expectant. Imagine Kazuma’s surprise when he may find out one day he’s pregnant. Hey, some demons species asexually reproduce and others are somewhat similar. Every race of demon is different. This is how these guys usually produce progeny and make more of their kind.]

Team:   Was once part of Team Urameshi or The Rekai Tantei, he is now part of a team or group that is called “TRAIPS Inc”, though their real name is “Human World’s (Ningenkai) Defense Operatives”. Most people who hear the name just think it’s some corporation that provides insurance, a housing company, or something of that sort. It’s named as such so it doesn’t give them away to the general populace who know nothing about the ongoing dangers in their world. It’s a group made out of super-humans, demons half-breeds, and any other sort of “freak” who desires to make a difference. TRAIPS essentially stands for “Trained Recruits Assigned to Insure Peace and Security”, instead of being a misspelling of the word “traipse”.

Kuwabara never knew what his “father” did with his time, how he made money, and neither did he know the odd man’s occupation. He had to be working in some sort of field to enable him to know so much about Spirit World and the missions the Rekai Tantei had been sent on. Sure, he was psychic, but how could have known so much and in so much detail? Not only that, but the man was gone most of the time, to where, he had no clue. Then one day, he was finally dragged into the older man’s business, having no other choice but to be introduced to what the man had been doing all along…

[Shizuru busted into Kazuma’s room and told him to get packed because he was leaving with the man. Shizuru knew what her father did for a living, but never really did approve of it. She never wanted Kazuma to play such a dangerous role either, but knew that it was his destiny to.]

Turns out his “father” was a member of this group of hired protectors, not only that, but so was Genkai.  It only proves that it is truly a small world after all (since he also thought Genkai spent most of her life living in her dojo like people had told him she had). The old man’s code name was “The Kingpin”, namely because of how he used to dress and whom he was in charge of handling; he usually took care of people more his type, punks, thugs, and whatnot who were getting themselves into really deep trouble, but he handled big cases as well like the rest who worked for TRAIPS Inc.

Kazuma’s “father” dealt with the underground crime world, it was his world (his scene) and he was in charge of it, yet he also would help the law by cleaning up the streets of foul criminals who deserved to be behind bars or “put under”. He wasn’t your typical “Don”, because he also had inside friends who also lived the lifestyle of gangsters. He was also in charge of his own squadron, his own group of people who also dressed as “gang members” though usually while on missions. It was through this organization that Kazuma’s “father” met Shizuru’s “mother”. Yes, it’s all complicated. And Kazuma is the one whom he wishes to take his spot, because quite frankly he’s getting too old for this sort of thing. The Kingpin’s valued members tease Kuwabara by calling him “The Mafia Prince”, much to the young lad’s displeasure.

It all usually happens or takes place in another bigger and much livelier city, which happens to be a major hotspot for crime and demonic activity. The main headquarters is there, too, and it’s in disguise of being a large government operated building with an inside fancy café located on the first level downstairs. [Imagine Kazuma’s surprise and embarrassment when he thought the old man wanted him to work at the café.] However, where they genuinely operate is actually located down below the building itself, right underground and deep below the city.

Oddly enough, Kazu-kun still knows Koenma, whom he eventually finds himself meeting again, along with Botan. Why? Because “TRAIPS Inc” is actually sponsored by none other than Koenma himself, who had hired people to protect Human World from threats and the forces of evil. They are not Spirit Detectives; however, they are more on the lines of being “slayers”, “defenders”, “officers”, or “soldiers”. These guys handle most of the work while Spirit Detectives are selected to do special cases. It’s basically just like the difference between the police and normal detectives. Those of “TRAIPS Inc” are your police and armed forces that do most of the heavy duty backbreaking work, while Spirit Detectives usually work as one person undercover for Spirit World (yet has the same responsibility of an officer).

Sometimes “TRAIPS Inc” is tied with Spirit World’s “Special Defense Force”, though often they never get along. Another important note would be the fact that the SDF and often Spirit Detectives think they are better than NDOs. Oh, the disdain that thrives amongst them.

Nemesis:   He has many, but his main foe that happens to plague his life constantly and cause so much chaos in his life is Ani Toguro. Yes, he’s alive and well. Kurama’s plant did not kill him. He managed to get free from that thing and has even reformed his body. This homicidal psychopath oddly seems to have a fixation on ruining Kazuma’s life. The demon is obsessed with brining him down and wants him to die by his hands alone. Comparison: Kazuma is “Batman” and Ani is “The Joker” in his life. He also has to deal with the Underground Crime Lords, people whom he can’t stand. Later on, Sensui becomes a threat as well (and back from the dead as an angel himself).

Other Information:

1)       First Meeting Between Kuwabara and Reficul:  Kazuma doesn’t remember Ref from his childhood past do to having his memories pushed back and far away from his conscious mind. If he could, he would remember the fact that Ref had came into his life one night when he had been found sobbing (this was after Ref has been watching him for some time). He was crying because of the horrible abuse he had suffered that day (by other kids and then by his stepfather) and that his real mother wasn’t at all comforting him (neglect), just locked up inside of his room with no one to lean on or talk to. He has also been molested by his stepfather as one of his ways of punishment and his mother had done nothing about it. He felt so alone and unloved. That was their first meeting with one another and how they genuinely met. Reficul (disguised as Yuki) told him not to cry and said that he (she) will be his friend.

These horrid memories will eventually come back and they will surely haunt him, especially once all of the seals are broken.

2)      Getting Over Old Friends And Past Loves:  Even after Kazuma had made new friends and now has a sense of purpose in life, he still suffers from abandonment by his friends and by the so called “love” of his life. It really put damage to his psyche, though he tries so hard to cover it up behind “masks”. For nearly two years (after they had left his life) he pretends that he doesn’t care that they had moved on and are now out of his life, but slowly he finds himself breaking. He starts seeing illusions of them, anywhere and everywhere, especially of Yukina and his “best friend” Yusuke. His friends and teammates noticed a change in him, how he suddenly took a liking to living life on the edge, becoming an adrenaline junkie. He tries so hard to push them away, from going on long walks to nowhere in particular to involving himself in dangerous stunts that could possibly kill him. He’s even gone on missions alone, putting his life at risk.

Thanks to Ref’s constant stalking of the man, he knew what was going on with Kazuma and had ended up saving him more than once. Ref tried to get him to stop this craziness of the mind, to get him back on his feet, put reason in him (Ref, out of all people, doing that), and move on. Ref told him he knew what he was going through, that he would never leave him like the others did (Kazuma thought he surely would at first). Eventually Kazu-kun came to learn that Ref was a true friend and would never leave him out of anything.

Still, Kazuma believed it was because his past friends were demons and the fact that he wasn’t was why they eventually cut him off from the group. Ref informed him of the fact that he had new friends now as well as his gang; some that were powerful humans and others who had a quantity of demon blood in them in some way, and most of all Kazu had him (Ref) and that the others in his past didn’t really matter anymore. Before the eventual confrontation, they were just friends. Afterwards, they started to become closer and closer, the heat (chemistry) between them growing stronger and stronger. Kazuma started questioning his life, his sexuality even more, where would he be without Ref, and what life would have been if he wasn’t in it.

In truth, Kazuma was afraid. He had been let down many times before, by Yukina and other women whom he discovered were simply amongst the shallow breed. Yukina was still in his heart, much to Ref’s dislike, but Kazuma was finding her place in his heart being replaced by the Prince of Hell.

IMPORTANT NOTE: At this time, Kazuma did NOT know that Reficul was a demon-god or The Prince of Hell. At one point, he does discover that the man is a demon, which made him a bit uneasy for awhile. It was through his teammates’ advice that he got over it, telling him that it shouldn’t matter what Ref was as long as he’s a loyal friend to him.

Anyway, Kazuma becomes all the more afraid, finding that his red string of fate to Yukina gradually disappearing with time. To fix this problem, he convinces Koenma to allow him to go to Makai (demon world) so he can find her and get a solid confirmation as to where they stand. [YES, Kazu-kun is in total denial, even after she had told him that they would always be “friends”. Remember, this girl was his obsession.] Ref finds this out and is not at all thrilled or happy about it (and he could have killed Koenma for allowing this), so he goes after him.

Kazuma sadly puts his life at risk for coming to demon world in the first place. For one, there are demons that could devour him, rip him apart and ravage his body parts, and/or do other possible things to him. Secondly, there was Hiei who never approved of the orange haired man being around his twin sister.

INSIDE NOTE: Reficul knows and sometimes associates with Yomi, who is one of the few demons he will deal with. Yomi actually respects him, especially since Yomi owes his soul to Ref for everything he had became (that he was once one of the three kings of Makai), for his wealth, and power he had obtained. With Yomi’s help, he found Kazuma all the more easily and got him in without being noticed. Also, let it be noted that the two have some things in common. One, they both detest disloyalty and, secondly, they are ruthless with their enemies.

Consequently, in the end, Reficul has no other choice (and mostly out of rage) but to fight Hiei and the other demons who were trying to hurt HIS Kazuma. Kazuma had to watch the horror of his rage as he took most of the demons down by breaking them apart and slaughtering them. He also had to watch the fact that Ref was slowly breaking Hiei, breaking his bones as the shorter demon was becoming helpless to protect himself. And most of all, Reficul had gained his demon-god’s form or appearance, showing everyone whom he really was. So much fear and hatred was in the atmosphere, it was thick enough to cut a knife through and serve it on a plate as a cold and bitter dish. There was so much violence and many demons were pushing it into an all consuming high do to the bloodlust amongst them.

Don’t worry, Hiei lived and his body was very much still intact. Kazuma stopped Ref from killing him, after all, despite how Hiei and Kazuma never got along, Hiei was considered to still be a friend of his. He quelled Ref’s anger and told him that enough was enough and that he didn’t want him to kill Hiei. Ref informed that if anyone ever shall dare to lay a single finger upon Kazuma to inflict harm upon him in anyway, that person is very much dead.

Everyone watched this in shock; the most stunned of all was Yusuke, Kurama, Yukina, and Hiei. Despite his apologies to his “friends” about what happened, Yukina was the one who told Kazuma she no longer wished to have anything to do with him and that she could never forgive him or Reficul for what was done to her brother. This hurt Kazuma, but not as much as he thought it could have, and by then he found that the red string of fate to her was well already gone.

Whilst standing there in silence, he noticed that Yukina had left with Mokuro (and had later found out through Yomi that she was officially staying with her). Yusuke, Kurama, and Hiei (he also found out) were living together in Yusuke’s inherited land. His “friends” weren’t happy with him, but were too much in a state of shock to really do or say anything (except Hiei who was very much almost unconscious).

Yomi invited (and insisted) that Ref and Kazuma should stay for awhile, being that he be the one to provide them a place to stay. Kazuma gladly took the offer, but only because he missed the old gang. Reficul really wanted to leave, but stayed because Kazu-kun wanted to. Kazuma fortunately got Yomi to divulge some very interesting (yet unsettling) information to him about the others, whilst on the side Kazu-kun also had to cope with the startling information about who Ref truly is. [He also had issues with dealing what was being served on the menu while staying there, too.]

Kazu-kun was angry at first and had confronted Ref about the issue of keeping this secret from him. Reficul told him that he did what any reasonable person would have done if they were in his place and that if Kazu-kun knew-- “Would you have really been my friend then, if you had known all along?” Kazuma knew he was right and quickly got over it.

Kazuma never did really get to patch up his friendship with the others. He never really got to spend time with them, finding their meetings to be entirely too awkward and heavy to bear. He felt so uneasy in their presence, even when they were trying to be friendly; he figured that they did not want him there. Yes, there’s sadly no real happy ending with that one (at least at that time, they still care about him). And they most certainly didn’t like the fact that he happened to be friends with someone who tried to kill one of their own. Kazuma also tried to make amends with Yukina, but she turned him down flat (even with just wanting to be friends and apologizing for what had happened), repeating that she wanted nothing to do with him and that he should just move on completely.

Out of all people, he sort of made friends with Yomi, who would creep him out from time to time whilst he stayed there in his palace (with his talk about how they used to eat humans as food), and the demon’s female servants (who would giggle and tease about how Ref seems to care for the fiery ginger haired man). He came to not dislike demons who ate humans as a food source, as long as those humans were bad people (*cough* Ref’s also a bit of a people eater *cough*), and they did happen to reason with him about the issue. (“You eat pigs and chickens, but you feel no remorse for them?” He couldn’t argue with that, so he realized.) Eventually, Kazuma decided to just leave and went back to Human World with Reficul, leaving what he once knew finally behind.

3)      Fate Factor:  Know this, whether Kazuma would or would not end up destroying the world in the end is his choice. I seriously doubt he would choose to do such a thing, in fact, he would very much run away from such a horrid destiny (or at least try hard to).

Know this, neither Kazuma or the others know about him actually being an angel (instead of being human). They don’t know about his destiny, though if they did, his life would be very well in danger. The SDF, for one, would wish to apprehend and detain him. His team would still very well be his friends (as well as his old human gang, I believe, though they have moved on and have started families of their own now).

Reficul would still love him and remain by his side no matter what. As he would say “I’d follow him into darkness, just as I have followed him into the light. If he falls, I fall.” [Their relationship sort of reminds me of Sensui’s and Itzuki’s, only Reficul is the dominate one in this relationship and is the manlier one of the two.]

The horror of it being revealed… Kazuma has terrible nightmares about the end. Worst of all, angels have came out of the woodworks, the elements, out of hiding, and are looking for their “chosen one”. Once the angels discover the truth, it is Sensui who comes after him to help release him from his seals, his “chains”. It is a very painful process and a hellish living nightmare (Kazu-kun would really wish it all to be just a dream). And then the world will know when his symbols would appear, the sun be blocked out of the sky (turn black do to an eclipse), and the moon turned to blood.

Know this: Kazuma always enjoyed being a human; he thought that made him different from the others (who were demons). Now, he learns the horrible truth, he is not human and neither a demon. He is something far much worse. Not only that, but he now knows he has nowhere he truly belongs (because Angels are cursed to not have a place to call their own, but wish to change that by taking over earth and the rest of the worlds). He is supposed to release the detained angels from their imprisonment (a bottomless pit) and finally meets his REAL father (who happens to be controlling the city he is both working and living in). The consequence of fulfilling the prophecy is that of “The End”. And most of all, he begins to find it hard to fight back his TRUE angelic nature.

Also, as his angelic form comes out more and more, allowing him to gain access to more of his powers… It’s sadly killing him, killing his human nature and ridding him of his human blood (He’s a Seraphim, so his skin is burned off, literally purifying him of his human blood). As this happens, he is thrown into uncontrolled rages with a one track mind to kill whoever is his enemy (or is defined as a terrible sinner). He is also haunted tragically not just by his blood and his abilities, but also his memories. His life takes a drastic turn onto a darker road.

[Everyone actually gets involved, whether it is to stop him or not. For good reasons or not, it’s whoever’s decision. Most demons wouldn’t ever want this to happen, it means them being controlled by much higher powers. Even Yusuke, Kurama, and Hiei come into the picture. And after three years of being in America, Keiko comes back for a surprise visit (though this was not what she wanted to come home to and she still has at least a year left in college).]

4)      Fear of Mirrors:  Well, not really a fear. Kazuma learns to despise mirrors or anything that shines a reflection. Why? One, he sees things in them, things he doesn’t like. Mirrors are like gateways or doors and they always seem to show the truth. He also detests mirrors because he can no longer bear his own reflection. Why? Well, throughout the course of years, people have put it in his head that he wasn’t attractive enough. Another reason why he hates his reflection is because it finally reveals to him that he is not human. His looks have changed a lot, he may be very well beautiful and handsome, but that doesn’t mean he likes it. He’s come to learn that most people are very shallow creatures; going by physical appearances as to if they can love someone.

5)      Fear of Girls:  Special thanks goes to the women in his life. His true mother is one of them (who tried to get back into his life), Shizuru is another, and he had been also turned down by the girls whom he happened to like (first Botan and then Yukina).

Another blame would be the fact that after his fifth seal breaks, his appearance changes. He still looks a bit like the old Kuwabara Kazuma, but looks more like Final Fantasy’s (Advent Children) Sephiroth (though not completely, he favors him a lot). The change was nice while it had lasted, but then he started getting overcrowded by crazy fan-girls, he even found himself running away from them. After all of this, he finally came to a conclusion that he wasn’t interested in girls anymore and that most females are shallow to only run after noticeably “hott” guys. They didn’t notice him as much before, less it was either by charm or when he visited back home where he was famous for his predictions. Now that he’s “got the looks”, they just come stampeding over from ninety to nothing (a mode of expression).

To Ref, that means that it is one less worry to worry about. …Though he happens to hate it when anyone tries to touch HIS Kazu-kun. [The old 80s song “Hands Off” by Maria Vidal would be the very song that fits.]
