Disclaimer / Notes: Reficul belongs to my love and I. He was created off of an RP of our’s. We love YYH that much. The relationship that formed between Ref and Kuwabara happened by chance, and then it stuck like glue.

REFICUL

('Tis his "Human" form.)

Information about the Prince of Hell

Name: Jigokudai [“Jigoku” = Hell, the worst place in hell to be, really. It’s the place where the worst of the worst go and suffer for all of eternity, the deepest and lowest regions of the bowls of hell. “Dai” = god. He’s the god of Hell, not underworld since in this universe they are two separate places.] Narakumaru [“Naraku” = Hell, too, but basically hell in general. “Maru” = Man, denotes that despite whatever form this guy takes, in actuality he is male. "Maru" also means "valuable".]

Known Human Name: Yukio [Means "gets what he wants".] L. (the initials to his first name) Masanori [Means "model of justice".]

Other Aliases / Nicknames: Reficul (It’s the name “Lucifer” spelled backwards, but he is NOT “His Infernal Majesty”. No. Sammael is the real fallen angel, the twelve winged Seraphim who was the highest prince of angels and is also now the angel of death, the one who caused the angels to betray the worlds, only to fall from heaven in the end. Sammael is Kuwabara’s REAL father.); Yukiko (the name he used when he was in the form of a female child, it means “rare child”); Hellboy (It’s a joke, really, but it’s a common nickname people give him); asshole, jerk, creep, weirdo, monster, etc. (by anyone, really); Mr. Tall Dark and Creepy (Shizuru is the first one to call him this); Kazuma’s lost other half (Shizuru’s other name for him, along with calling Ref her brother’s “boyfriend”.); The Dark Prince…

Race: Demon God (He’s a dark god who’s considered to be a demon, just like King Enma)

Age: Unknown/Really old (He’s been around for an awfully long time!)

Astrological Sign: Sun Sign = Aries! (Oh, hell. I took a personality tests for him to find these out.) Sign Rising = Scorpio; Moon Sign = Taurus

Blood Type: B - Even though he is a demon, he would most certainly be blood type "B". (Kuwabara is "O".)

Height: 6’9”

Voice: Dark, deep, and guttural. Basically the type of voice you’d envision someone from hell would possess. He makes Kuwabara’s voice sound much lighter in comparison. He has a dark chuckle that rumbles in his chest (he laughs like terror whenever he finds extreme hilarity in something, sounding not only diabolical but also maniacal). He sounds demonic, something sinister, something wicked. (I would say the right choice of voice for him would be that of the Japanese voice actor: Jōji Nakata, which is deep like Younger Toguro’s and Yomi’s Japanese voices. Jōji Nakata does the voices of Alucard from the anime “Hellsing” and The Count of Monte Cristo from the anime “Gankutsuou”.)

Hair: Black (But can turn silver/white) colored hair. His hair was once really long, like several inches past his butt sort of long, but he cuts it short after all these years of having it so lengthy. His hair is naturally wild, considered to seem untamed by a brush, choppy, and also spiky. His hair just loves to hog his face, and one would describe it as trying to eat his head (it’s not, though, it can wriggle and sort of have its own life when he powers up). Upon the top of his head, on opposite corners and above the temples, are strands of bangs that curl upwards when he is not in his full demon form (they sort of take the place of his horns).

Eyes: Blood red eyes, naturally, though he can make his irises appear almost solid black when he tries to seem or appear human. However, his whites invert into the darkness black, darkness swarming into his eyes like an ominous miasma or plague whenever he gets pissed or is in his demon form (and when he powers up or uses his demonic-god powers).

Skin: In his demon form he is pale as pale can be, like death. He appears to look icy cold, or like a lifeless body that has been discovered lying in a freezing lake, having lingered there for days after that supposed person has drowned. He looks like a victim who fell into tainted, icy cold water. (He looks similar to an albino vampire, especially when he has that white hair and also has red eyes.) For his more human form, however, he is not considerably pale in the least, indeed, he is rather tan in complexion and has a healthy olive hue to his skin (he’s like the color of Sensui).

Distinctive features / His Physical Appearance:

His Face and Head: He has sensual eyes with a distinctive horizontal shape, which slant inward towards his nose. These eyes of his have dark rings, as if someone had outlined his eyes with black eyeliner and then applied a light shade of gray upon both his eyelids and around his eyes. He has a long face, an angular shaped head, pointy elfin-like ears, high cheekbones, a long thin nose, and a dominant chin. Upon his chin there is a dimple. His arching eyebrows have a certain thickness, not too lick, not too thin; they broaden a bit as they curve to a point and then become burly as they fringe out upon the ridges. He has thin lips to accommodate his large mouth, seemingly reptilian. Overall, he has smooth, yet, very manly looks. He is also considered to be dusky and swarthy, sometimes even rugged, and most of all devilishly handsome (emphasis on the “devil” part).

Body: He has a long neck, long arms, long legs, and a long torso. He has big hands with long piano fingers, topped with sharp nails at the end. His torso is formed in the shape of a “V”, yet, dauntingly fits the Serpentine archetype. He has a sinuous physique; his torso is thin but wide, like a cobra, his oblique and lateral muscles tapering to a typically narrow waist. Viewed from the side, his posture forms a gentle S-curve, his long neck stretching slightly forward above square but sloping shoulders whose blades jut out dramatically, his spine is strong but supple, and each of his muscles rippling noticeably underneath his shirt (if he happens to wear one that is). He is lean and muscular, built like a tank, but is not overly brawny to the point of being bulky. His torso is rather elongated (like I’ve mentioned before), his lower stomach stretching endlessly towards an outward projecting pelvis, and he is bendy kneed and centers his weight of the balls of his feet. He has large feet, but they are mostly long and thin, corresponding perfectly with his strong hands.

Demon Form Attributes: Reficul has sharp teeth like any demon, jagged like a shark’s, though his most profound are his canines. You already know about his eyes, they turn black as death, and burn nothing short of the epitome of hell. He has a pair of black horns upon his head, similar to that of a dragon’s (or a Waterbuck’s), swooping back, curling upwards. His nails also grow longer, similar to talons (or for better comparison, look at Raizen’s nails), both upon his fingers and his toes. He has a long prehensile black tail, the tip of it forked and in the shape of a large arrow. He also has gigantic black wings, wings that are very much like a bat’s, attached to his back. Upon the digits of his wings, he has spurs or really sharp horns. His hair also grows out to be very long, the length that it once was before he had it cut. His ears also grow out, becoming longer and pointier, more elfin.

Family / Relatives: Jigokudai Naraku-daiou (father, the demon-god of hell); Izanami/Ophelia (mother, the goddess of death and the keeper of the gates)

Powers: He can pull out deadly strings at will and from seemingly out of nowhere (he forms them with his power), they are like very sharp garrote wire, which he uses to slice his opponents to ribbons. Another one of his abilities is to summon or generate fire hellfire, not to mention the fact that he can control fire in general and he also won’t be burnt by it. He has the power of regeneration. Of course, he can fly; he can also defy gravity as well. He’s also immensely super strong (can lift up a car easily with his pinky), and can move at the speed of sound, and he has telekinesis as well as telepathy (he’s actually a bloody strong psychic and has superhuman senses). He also has morphing abilities (shape shifting) and can make himself invisible or only visible to those whom he chooses. His hair moves around like wicked tentacles when he powers up. And like his father, he has the power to grant wishes to those who are willing to sell their own soul to Hell for, form illusions, control the atmosphere (the weather for one) and the shadows, summon the souls of the damned (or familiars, victims which he has killed and taken their souls with him, most are that of demons) and can make you suffer emotional and/or physical pain.

Skills: He’s stealthy, very; if anyone can sneak up on you it’s him! (He’s honestly worse than Koenma is really with that, because Ref usually likes to REALLY scare you, enjoys bringing the fear right out of you.) He’s also a skilled martial arts fighter and a furiously brutal combatant. He has been various wars, especially in the ancient times. (That’s how old he really is.) He also possess centuries of combat experience.

Personality: Reficul’s personality is something to be admired. Well, not really. He taunts and belittles his opponents. As he is immortal and almost invincible, he is very egotistical because of this and is also arrogant. In fact, he’s defined by many to be quite an asshole.

However, underneath his cocky, dark, arrogant attitude, Reficul seems deeply sad and envious of humans of their will to choose to be either good or evil, not to mention forgiven for their trespasses and start anew. Some demons, though very rare, are given this opportunity as well. However, since he is the Prince of Hell, he is greatly feared and revered, and most of all reviled by many if not by all. He grew up and lived most of his life friendless, despised, and being prejudged (and misjudged) all his life has caused him to hate everyone, especially other demons.

As a warrior, he believed that words alone were not enough, that actions speak louder and one must fight ruthlessly in the heat of battle in order to win. Take no prisoners. It is “kill or be killed”. Not that he can be easily killed, it’s just he finds it pointless to forgive or show your enemies any mercy, and in turn punishing and slaughtering those who deserve it, serving them his own brand of justice. It could accurately be said that rather than killing his opponents, Reficul breaks them. He became famous for punishing evildoers in his own domain and abroad, he is not at all lenient, not even on demons.

He has much disdain towards his foes and is full of belligerence towards those who make his life so miserable, particularly those that are in Spirit World. He has no patience or respect for cowards and certainly not for traitors. Since he has lived a long time and has fought in wars, he has a sense of honor, especially when it comes to fighting a worthy opponent. He is not fond of disappointment. He views suicide as the lowest of a person’s will and a fool's way of escaping, being extremely offended by those who’d rather take their own life instead of fighting to stay alive. Those who lack the will to continue on fighting and those who choose to run away out of fear REALLY piss him off. He hates pointless killings, too, and the people who choose to commit such atrocities. Those who kill without a good or valuable reason are defined as being pathetic pieces of worthless shit, and he heavily expresses his discontent to them. You better have nobility, conviction, or some sort of rationale. (If you kill because it’s “fun”, then you best stay far away from this guy.)

He has quite a ferocious and frighteningly bad temper. He is no poster child for sanity, either! He’s positively morbid, and has a love for the dark, brutal, painful, and frightening aspects of life. He’s most certainly into horror films, as well as action and gore. He has a smile that is sometimes wild, but usually devious one way or another. He has little to no shame (hell, this guy doesn’t mind walking down the street with no shirt).

Speaking of which, as a child, he was an ungainly and troubled youth with boots of temper. He had much trouble with obedience, and even still quite today, is an anarchist and a rebel. His father would often punish him while he was still a boy, claiming his actions to be utterly foolish. He played with weapons as a child, usually sword fighting with one of his father’s minions. When he got older, his father sent him out into wars to protect their kingdom as well as destroy any adversary who dared threaten them. He fought wherever he was needed to be. It did not take long for many to consider him a monster, even his own men.

He is clever, witty, and also very cynical. Though he can be a gentleman when he wants to be, he has a very foul mouth (his favorite words are “fuck”, “son-of-a-bitch”, and “shit”), can be uncouth, and his words like venom topped with a piss and vinegar demeanor. He is very adaptable to any situation (including environment); his personality can merely change with simple flick of a switch. This makes him unpredictable, in fact, he is a loose cannon. He also has “the devil’s luck” (so people call it, since he maneuver out of every sticky situation), has connections (or makes them), and knows his way around the block. He can handle himself pretty damn well, he strolls coolly with high confidence yet there is also an array of power in his walk. He has a wicked sense of humor, much panache in his attitude, sometimes even perverted.

Speaking of perversion, he is often very perverted with Kuwabara. He often tries to touch him, even lick him (talk about molestation)! He often stalks this man and is attracted to him like moths to a flame. Perhaps it’s Kazuma’s honor code, loyalty, devotion, indomitable will, courage, and unwavering resolve, even when facing off against the worst of demons or standing in the presence of evil. No, it’s even deeper than that. You see, Kuwabara was his first and only friend he ever had, though at the time, Kazu-kun was a child at the time. Unfortunately, Kazuma was forced to forget all about him (as well as his powers, which are blocked by seals that were placed upon him). And even though Reficul holds a bit of a grudge against him for this (he also underwent a great depression for years), he can’t help but obsess over him. He has been watching him for years.

Kuwabara is the one person who can bring the good out of this prince of darkness, and not just by his nagging and his strong sense of justice. It’s even the littlest of things, like from his silly dances to his love of cats. He even likes it when Kuwabara gets pissy, even at him! He often teases him and says that he’s PMSing. In truth, he loves Kuwabara for all he is, from his punk personality and street life savvy, his spiritual and physical strength, his honor code and sense of morality, how he can be so empathetic and caring of others, his selflessness, his heart of gold, his sweetness, his prissy hot-headed temper, his incessant blabbering, how he can get so emotional, his awkwardness, his beautiful fiery ginger locks, his eyes, his smile, etc, etc, and etc. Kuwabara is also a very fun person to hang out with, and though he can be very serious, he can also be carefree. To Reficul, Kuwabara is quite a catch and he intends to keep him. Seriously. He’s also very jealous, over-protective, and clingy.

Deep down, secretly, he’s a dark and hopeless romantic (I bet this surprises you, it certainly does everyone else around him who gets to see it). He can be very eloquent with his words and mode of expression, just as much as he can be stoic as a mannequin. He can also get very…enthusiastic…when he fights, and that’s an understatement. He is a man who loves a good fight and also a challenge. Fighting him eventually scares the pants off of his opponents right after they piss in them, especially with that depraved laugher of his, not to mention the fact that he’s about to break them apart. It’s quite unsettling in most people’s opinions and some view him to be obnoxious (especially Koenma).

Reficul also smokes and drinks, and is either seen wearing a black snazzy suit or stylish dark yet casual clothes. Think of black slacks or black jeans, a punk or rock band shirt (or anything he finds amusing or sparks his interest into wearing, even the funny to just darn possibly rude or obscene shirts), any pair of black boots (from dress boots, to army boots and even to platforms; from ankle highs to knee highs), and a neat coat or jacket (he has one that has skeleton bone patterns all over it). He even sometimes wears armbands and collars; sometimes he also wears fingerless gloves. He has that heavy-metal Goth look about him, yet pulls off to somehow still look like a punk or a thug (especially when he wears the clothes that fit the role).

Likes: Kuwabara Kazuma! (xD) He enjoys riling Kazuma up, too, making him absolutely bitchy or frantic. More importantly, he loves to see Kazu-kun happy. Although, he does sometimes like to pull pranks on him; like pulling out a dead man’s hand and touching him with it (and also sneaking up or popping up out of nowhere) just to see his reaction. Kuwabara’s interests are also his, which means he helps Kuwabara protect his turf. He also LOVES fighting and doesn’t really care for the laidback ordinary lifestyle of just doing nothing or living from day to day (which is what most humans do). He’ll always try to find something to do, less he’s in the mood to feel incredibly lazy. He has always liked what humans do for fun, like sports (skateboarding for one), video games, movies, music, and amusement parks. He is also into motorcycles, and by the way, he owns one and it’s a chopper.

Favorite Music Genre: Rock, Heavy Metal, Death Metal, Industrial Metal and Punk, Grunge, Gothic, Alternative Rock, etc, etc… He is also into Jazz, The Blues, and also likes classical rock or anything that is unusual or strikes his interest. He has the ability to understand and speak all spoken languages, so it doesn’t matter where the music comes from.

Favorite Movie Genre: Anything with carnage and violence (and that’s an immensely wide range of films to choose from). He is mainly heavy into horror flicks, even the classics.

Favorite Food: He’s actually and originally a “people eater”, since he’s part of the brand of demons who still eat other people (and not just humans). However, he can eat human food, too. His favorite foods are: Hotdogs, pocky, and anything spicy or sour. He just loves junk food; one of his favorites is the sour gummy worms and the bears (he plays with them, biting off their heads and such). He also likes alcohol and cigarettes, if you can count that as food.

Hobby or Favorite Pastime: Spending time with Kuwabara (one way or another), fighting, and breaking rules he finds to be stupid (he has his moods and usually there are reasons behind his actions).

Dislikes / Hates / Loathes: Koenma! Sorry, fan-girls. Reficul cannot stand Koenma one iota and the very same can be said for how the Spirit World’s prince feels about him. In all honesty, they loathe each other. Put these two in the same room together, leave them alone for one measly second, and you’ll come back finding a disaster zone (total ground zero) and the two trying to kill each other (more like Ref doing the killing part and Koenma trying to get away). …Continuing: Demons (most to all in general), Spirit World, cowards, traitors, disloyalty, that “goddamn god-aweful rap, pop, and hip-hop music” (he likes it if it's good, though most Pop is an exception), and anyone who tries to steal Kazu-kun’s attention away from him. He pretty much hates a lot of things and hates almost everyone.

History / Biography:

Facts: King Enma is the God of the dead, he pretty much just supervises and places people where they need to go. There are actually other gods and goddesses that exist, and there is at least one in rulership of wherever a soul or spirit is placed after they are judged by the great demon god of Spirit World (King Enma). There are angels, but they are very rare, and I am not talking about the shinigami or soul reapers either. A shinigami is a death deity, really. Izanami created them; she is now the goddess of death. The angels in this world are fallen and are considered to be as powerful or like gods themselves (much like some demons are considered to be themselves).

Reficul is NOT the King of Makai! He is The Dark Prince of Hell, his father Naraku is the Demon-God who governs and rules over that entire most horrible of all domains. In fact, Reficul rarely, if ever, associates with any demons from Demon World. He despises those demons too much to want to.

“Naraku-daiou” is his father (and no, he has no connections with InuYasha whatsoever). He is also known as “The Great Dragon” and “The Great Demon King”.

Reficul ages just like the other gods and goddesses (like Koenma), not at all like various types of demons (each race is different). Aging into a mature or "adult stage" is a long process.

Reficul is the “Personification of Hell”, both metaphorically and quite literally. How he came to be, no one knows. In fact, not many know who this boy’s mother is, let alone if he even had a mother. And he did, but she tragically died when he was born. And to say that he was completely raised by his father would be an utter lie, in fact, for the longest of time his dad wanted nothing to do with him (he blamed his son for the loss of his mate). So, growing up from a baby and very much in his childhood years, he was taken care of by his father’s servants. He didn’t feel much warmth or love from his father, nor would he form any bond with him until he well near his teen years.

According to his father’s beliefs, that you are not a “worthy” individual less you prove yourself to be, Reficul worked hard to gain his father’s respect (despite his rebellious nature). He trained diligently to become faster and stronger. People say he did it also to gain his father’s attention, too, but whether that’s true or not, his true intentions have not been deciphered.

Reficul fought in various wars, which started in his early teens. There was always a threat of some kind, someone trying to take over hell, whether it was from the outside or inside. Reficul came to despise traitors quite quickly, and those who have no sense of loyalty whatsoever were better off dead. It didn’t take much time at all for people to consider him to be ruthless, especially when he caused his own reign of terror to help keep everything in Hell in line.

[Yes, he can be quite the living contradiction. He cares for and fights for what he pleases. He is his own distinctive brand of person, is considered to be quite eccentric because of this. His loyalties lie in the people he cares for the most.]

He considers most demons to be nothing short of the definition of “trash”. And one can’t necessarily blame him, for it was demons that made failed attempts in trying to conquer Hell, not to mention the fact that a lot of the things they do are considerably pointless. This prince doesn’t give a “rat’s ass” what class you’re in, you’re just “shit” no matter how you go at it. Take for instance those who seek to gain power the easy way; he has no respect for them. He sees such people as fools taking the easy way out away from dying. He delivers to them death most haste.

He came across way too many that was like that, unfortunately, especially in the battles he was in. He came across the greediest and most selfish of bastards, cowards who will abandon their own fellow men for the sake of saving themselves, people who lacked all sense of honor, wavering predetermined wills which dissipate quickly (he was raised to believe that you must finish what you started), those who faltered in their attempts while in war, those who committed mindless killings, and pretty much the lowest of low. He literally came across the scum of existence way too often.

During this age, there were many wars and rumors of wars. The worlds were at a great unrest. Human existence had merely begun during the middle of these onslaughts of total chaos and bouts of warfare. Before that time the angels had fallen from heaven, banished for treason, and as punishment they were not permitted to coexist in any of the worlds they were not accepted to subside in. In truth, they did not belong anywhere since they’ve lost their home in the highest places of heaven.

Their angelic prince had gone mad with megalomania, and it seemed his insanity had extended like a plague upon his own kind. Angels were designed or destined to protect Spirit World and The Heavens; they were once pure hearted creatures with a strong sense of justice. They once had coexisted with the higher gods and goddesses. “His Infernal Majesty” inevitably had snapped when he came to realize that those whom he had sworn to protect were no better than the ones he fought against. Once the angel of life and light, the morning and the evening star, this twelve winged seraphim became known as the angel of death (Satan) because it seemed he had lost all virtue that was once within him. Of course, once fallen from heaven, he pined for his losses and desires for the day when he will finally establish his own kingdom in human world. However, for now, as of this day, the angels remain hidden in the elements…patiently waiting. (And unlike demons, angels can perfectly disguise themselves as ordinary humans.) They became known as “devils” by most, no longer considered to be angels.

Reficul had come across these angels once before while he was still a young one. He had even met the likes of HIM. And if you think they had duked it out, you are wrong. You see, there was hardly any exchanging of words between them. The King of Angels merely grinned at him, eying him before he went on his way, disappearing into the fires with his minions (devils) that were burning in the mass destruction caused by a battle (which Reficul had fought in and won). With a heightened sense of awareness, Reficul knew this powerful being knew something, something that would perhaps one day unfold down the line of time. He also noted that he was being respected by them, the reason being unknown at that time. To each his own, Ref decided that angels could not be as bad as others believed them to be. Hell, if demons feared and hated them so much, then what better reason to admire and respect them in return?

[Go here if you wish to know more about Angels.]

He also had met the likes of Raizen, too, who was also known to be the demon god of war and lightening. He has some respect for him, but not enough for him to be fond of him. To put it nicely, they weren’t bitter enemies. However, he did find it utterly amusing that the demon would always keep on his toes whenever having to be around him (crossing him by chance).

For centuries, Reficul watched all of human kind, fascinated with how their ways were very much similar to angels and demons. Some were more like angels; others were more like demons; whether they had chosen to be good or evil. Reficul admired yet envied humans for their ability to make a choice and choose who they wanted to be as an individual. While he had seen their peaceful times, he had also seen their wars, their constant scourge against one another for survival. Most humans were like animals, just like the demons with their old internal instincts that drive them, while others were considerably a little below the angels. (It doesn’t take a real genius to figure out what kind of humans he was fonder of.)

He is one who had witnessed the World Wars in human world and had been summoned several times by evil men who desired to have hell’s forces upon their side. Of course, we know how that ended up, not mentioning where they ended up after they had died. The Nazis were by far the worst; they were even into the occult (among other things).

There was a time during the feudal era where Reficul questioned his own way of living (about always being alone and how you can only depend upon oneself)…

Basic Fact:

Your spirit is part of your soul, it the very thing that helps keep that soul in its vessel. Your soul is who you are as a person, your personality, most of all what is in your heart. Your soul is the heart of your spirit.

While your soul is “who you are as an individual”, your spirit is “what you are”. Everyone has a soul, even demons and gods. However, it is argued that angels lack possessing a soul, and those who do are very rare.

Akuma, the King of Angels, has had (biologically) two children in his whole life time. At least that is what most people would think. In actuality, it was one child, because Akuma has kept this one soul and spirit with him since the child’s death. During its first life, his child had failed him. Miserably. Why? Because the child wanted nothing to do with him and his dreams, instead, wanted to live her own life. Yes, I said “her.” Akuma’s child was born a female in its first life.

However, she never got the chance to evolve into her angelic form. Her father punished her, by not permitting her to live when she was attacked by powerful hordes of demons. Instead of allowing Spirit World to have her soul, he took it and held onto it himself until the day he decided was to be a good time for her to reincarnate in another body.

Her name was Kaguya, which means “shining night”. Though she was very beatiful and distinguished, she was thought to be some sort of oddity. Particularly it was her curly red (orange) hair and blue eyes.

The girl was also the daughter of a priestess, which helped the child possess morals and virtues. However, as for her occupation of choice (many men didn’t like her for her strong will), she was a wandering samurai, a protector of people and a bringer of justice. Most of all, she was viewed to be a sort of demon slayer, though she would also slay evil man when she had to.

Despite her ambitions and her pure heart, not many people were fond of her. She was a woman and women had one and only purpose in life, less she was born of a certain family or heritage. However, bloodline meant very little, less you were the child of a demon or a witch. And many people did think her mother to be one, not only that, but also a whore.

She said lines like “Show me your mother, so that I may help enable you to fly, for she is the keeper of your wings.” If you decipher what she may mean by that, you’d get that a person’s mother is the most valuable model, from a babe and into adulthood. Fathers were the breadwinners back then and were usually off working to support their families, while the mother raises the children. The quotes she would state were pretty similar to that of “mother is god in the eyes of a child”, and she did strongly believe that. (She was considered a wise yet highly foolish girl. She also had a mouth that often got her into heaps of trouble, her words angered others, especially when she chided or reprimanded them for their wrong doings. Demons considered her to be a bitch.)

After having said that, there’s no doubt that she loved her mother very much. For one, the Kaguya’s mother had dealt with so much pain and inner suffering; she bore with it endlessly, day after day. It can be said that humans don’t change, only their resources and technology. Her mother often shed tears for her, especially when she watched the villagers shun her daughter.

At that time, Reficul was wandering the earth, a hobby of his he found himself doing since Hell remained constantly the same as it always had. Demons ran amuck, too, at that time, and were greatly fear and reviled by humans. Not that anyone could blame the humans, since demons possess, used, and devoured people.

It was during a confrontation with a lesser demon that Ref first met her. The reason why he was even interested in the demon in the first place was because that demon had taken his name for his own, using it to his own advantage and then slandering it. A lot of demons did this.

And here she comes over, sworn to kill the same demon he was after. She was about to kill him, too, because she wasn’t so sure if he was an accomplice or not for the destruction brought upon the villages not too far from where they stood.

[This took place in a grisly looking forest, the trees were barren at the time, a dreary sunless day, and there was a fog that lied low closely to the ground. The trees were mulberries, their limbs twisted like horribly disfigured limbs, and they appeared as tortured souls reaching up towards the heavens for mercy. Regardless of their ghastly appearance during their time of hibernation, mulberry trees were considered to be highly sacred. They were blessed by the gods to help ward the demon-god of lightning, away, protecting the land and the people who lived there. He also could not harm the trees, neither touch them, and if he were to strike them in any way, they merely absorbed his blows as if they were nothing. Raizen really detested those trees. And Kaguya knew, since it was widely known that one of her ancestors had spoken with the gods in order to permit him to bless the trees. She no doubt came from a sacred bloodline. Also, if you chant "Kuwabara! Kuwabara!" it keeps away lightning (some believe it works against spirits, too).]

She did not kill Reficul in the end, neither the other demon, since he ended up killing it to save her from being ripped apart when the lowly demon attacked her. She questioned him as to why he not only saved her, but also later when they met again, why he spared her. Like him, she believed that all demons were the same, usually possessing the same motivations in mind. In time, she learned that he was not like all of the other demons, though he was very dark, not to mention very rude at first. And then there was the fact that he had such a terrible temper.

Reficul was finding himself to be obsessed with her, and from obsession grew other feelings as well. He began spying on her since the day they first met, desiring to always find her to see what she was doing. He saw her for who she was, a person who loved nature, animals, and children. She also played with and fed the needy orphans found in various villages, not minding the fact of how dirty they could be. And most of all, he witnessed how she protected people, even the ones who were ungrateful for saving them and their homes. She was selfless.

Of course she knew he was there, since she did possess a high sense of awareness. Inevitably they began hanging out with one another, spending time with each other, especially when no one else was around to witness it. Several months later, the two were obviously in love with one another.

This placed her life in ultimate danger, however, always being attacked, particularly more by other demons. People began calling her a “demon lover” as well. Ultimately, it was her love for him and their relationship that brought her to her untimely death. After she was severely bombarded with attacks from demons (she somehow managed to live through it, but her injuries weakened her immensely), she was sadly taken by humans and burned alive (some people are just horrible, letting their fear get the best of them). Her father took her soul before anyone else could have it.

Broken hearted, Reficul hated himself for what had happened. He did vow to find her again when she could perhaps reincarnate, but he highly doubted that there could be any chance of that. And he didn’t know at all what Kaguya’s father did.

After he had lost his first love, he went into heavy grieving. He spent years wandering all of human world, very rarely paying his own home a visit.
