I looked through the refrigerator. It was empty! Completely empty! Damnit! Now I have to go shopping once again! I grabbed my keys and stepped out of the car and angrily drove to the supermarket. I was NOT having a good week.
~*At the Supermarket*~
Nick scanned through yet another teen magazine “Carter Hottie Nick Leaving the Backstreet Boys for good this time?” Nick groaned and rolled his eyes. These tabloids were making him so irritated. He shoved the magazine back into the rack and adjusted his hat so no one would see him. He went over to get milk.
I looked for milk first. I can’t start my day without a cup of milk. I grabbed a gallon and was in such a hurry that I bumped into someone. I backed up and glared.
“Watch it!” I cried as I picked the gallon up checking it for any damages. Nick sighed. He was NOT having a good day. He brushed himself off and smirked.
“You’re the one who bumped into ME!” he cried
“No…don’t deny it!” I growled. I took time to study him. He was blonde, he had a hat on and was dressed comfortably. Track pants and a sweatshirt.
“This is ridiculous!” He cried.
“You know what? I don’t have time to argue with you like this…it’s pathetic. Goodbye,” I huffed and walked off not bothering to look back.
“Fine! Bye!” Nick stalked off. HE and I split up in different directions. I drove home angrily. I had just broken up with my boyfriend Danny last week. Now I had no one. He moved out of our house and I was all alone. I opened the door and stepped into my house. I hate my life.
Nick angrily opened the door to his house. That girl was so rude! He hoped never to see her again. He rushed over to pick up the phone.
“Hello?”
“Nick…” Brian was breathless
“Yeah…what?”
“I need to ask a favor,”
“Shoot,”
“Leighanne’s friend needs some cheering up…she broke up with her boyfriend or something…are you willing to double date?”
“Why not? When? Where?”
“Tonight…we’ll go out to dinner and a movie or something…ok?”
“Ugh…I guess…see you,”
“Thanks Nick,”
“Bye,”
“Later.”
~*That Night:*~
Nick whistled at himself as he stared into the mirror
“It’s gotta be you…all the way…it’s gotta be you…every day…” he sang while buttoning up his shirt. He smiled. He hoped that the girl was nice.
“Rachel! This guy is fabulous! I swear you’ll love him!” Leighanne pulled me.
“Leigh…how COULD you! Just arrange a BLIND date??”
“Come on…Brian told me that he’s nice,”
“So what? You’ve been with Brian for how long? Like 2 weeks?”
“Nick’s also part of the Backstreet Boys,”
I Sighed “Leigh…I’m so sick of the Backstreet Boys! What happened to the good stuff? Now you listen to all this crap!! I want it that way? I need you tonight? Come on! These songs are so clique!”
Leighanne smiled smugly at me “Then how could u memorize TWO titles?” She teased.
I glared at her “Hush up,” I muttered as she tossed me a pale green dress “I hate this dress!” I shrieked tossing it back to her.
“You look FANTASTIC in it! Green is Nick’s favorite color,”
“Blue is mine…why do you need to share with me what his favorite color is?”
“Because…you look good in green!!”
“I look better in blue,” I tossed away the green dress and put on a blue dress instead.
“Rachelllll…” Leighanne whined.
I hate it when she whines! She was TEN years older than I but we managed to be such best friends anyway. “Leigh…shut up, besides. YOU’RE in blue!”
“Blue is Brian’s favorite color!”
“Ugh!” I spat out “Are we doing these favors for them? Oh Brian likes blue so that means we have to wear it to make him happy eh?” I cried as I slipped into my blue dress.
“I don’t want you to wear that,”
“Why’s that?”
“You look so sexy in blue. Brian might cheat on me with you,” Leighanne glared and put her hands on her hips.
I grinned. I put my hands on my hips as well and did a double take “Too bad!” I grinned.
She laughed and grabbed her purse “We’re gonna be late,”
“Ah…late yes, but fashionably late,”
“For once,”
“Hey! Shut up!”
Leighanne laughed and pulled me out of my house. I held my breath. I hoped this Nick guy would be nice. At least I hoped he was some what good looking..
