~*Early December…*~
“Nick…” I bounced down the stairs as Leighanne, Nick and the rest of the BSB stepped into my house. He hugged me and kissed me on the cheek
“Awww…” Brian sobbed wiping an imaginary tear away. Nick socked him in the shoulder. Brian socked him back and they started fighting with each other. Leighanne rolled her eyes at me and led me to the kitchen
“How does it feel?” she asked me.
“How does what feel?” I asked her
“Dating Nick,”
“Oh…it’s ok…I mean, we’re not in love or anything,”
“Well at least it’s helping you get over Danny right?”
“Right,” I nodded at her.
“Then I can tell you this right?”
“Tell me what?”
“Danny called my house, and he wants to see you,”
“What?!” I dropped a mug on the floor. It shattered. Brian popped his head into the kitchen
“You guys all right?” he asked
“We’re fine…just dropped this cup that’s all,” Leighanne said. Brian nodded and disappeared
“So he called?” I cried
“Rachel…you’re with Nick now,”
“But we’re not that serious! Just because I want to see other guys besides Nick doesn’t mean anything!”
“Nick likes you more than boyfriend-girlfriend, watch out before you open your mouth Rachel,”
“Leigh…whatever ok? Don’t stick up for Nick just because he’s Brian’s best friend,”
“Rachel…I wish you luck when you see Danny tonight, he always made you weak with his looks didn’t he?” She asked me. I knew it was true. Danny was the best looking guy ever and I still had feelings for him. I also had a date with Nick tonight…
~*That Night*~
“Nick….” I said nervously
“What?” He asked me.
“I…have to tell you something,” Nick turned off the car and stared at me. The street lamp illuminating his face
“What?” he asked me softly
“Can we stop by Danny’s house?” I asked him
“Your old boyfriend?” He said a little louder
“I’m sure it’s nothing…he just wants to talk to me, I won’t be long,” I said trying to smile. I didn’t promise Nick that I’d be with him forever? What gave him the right to be so over-protective?
“Ok,” He huffed and drove to Danny’s house. I smiled at him before he dropped me off. He smiled back and I walked up to Danny’s house.
