Leighanne wandered the halls looking for Rachel. She saw Nick leaned against her room. She sat down next to him “What’s wrong?” She asked
“Rachel…she’s upset about something,” Nick said
“So…? Comfort her,”
“That’s what I was trying to DO! She doesn’t want any of it,”
“I’m gonna talk to her then,” Leighanne said getting up. She patted Nick on the head. Nick stuck out his tongue at her. She smiled down at him. He looked so cute.
“DON’T come in,” I said when I heard a knock on the door
“Too bad!” Leighanne came in. My stomach started to hurt.
“Leigh…I need to be ALONE,” I cried. I hid under the covers even though I wasn’t tired.
“Rachel…talk to Nick…or tell me what’s wrong,” she said. I was hot and sweaty and my throat felt bad
“I think I’m sick,” I said
“Is that all?” she asked
I didn’t say anything. Because there was more to the story then that.
“Rachel…you big baby…I’ll get you some Tylenol,” she said and left. I laid back in bed as Nick walked in. I hid under the covers
“Rachel…Leighanne said you were sick…I know there’s something else bothering you,” He said softly holding my hand. I stayed silent
“I really AM sick Nick,” I responded
“Ok…fine!” Nick huffed and left the room. I hid under the covers and breathed in slowly.
Brian came in next
“DAMNIT!” I screeched “LEAVE ME IN PEACE!!” I cried, diving under the covers again.
“Rachel…don’t be a retard, did you tell Nick yet?” Brian asked
“I…NO!” I screamed
“Rachel….calm down,”
“Brian…I don’t know HOW to tell Nick, it’s not that easy!”
“Well. I plan to tell Leighanne,” Brian said
My eyes widened “No Brian! She’ll kill me!”
“Rachel,” Brian removed the covers. I whimpered. He took my hand “I love you like a friend and all Rachel, but you and I both know that the kiss meant nothing right?”
“Yes…”
“So we’ll just talk to them about it,” Brian said.
“But…”
“No buts…do you want to tell them now?”
I stayed silent.
“I’ll take that as a yes,” Brian said. I protested but I knew it wouldn’t stop Brian
“NICK!! LEIGHANNE!!! GET IN HERE!” Brian shouted.
I closed my eyes and moaned. Brian patted my back reassuringly
