Nick and Leighanne came in. She sat down next to him and Nick sat down next to me. I didn’t look at him

“Rachel and I…have been bothered by something the last few hours,” Brian said slowly. Leighanne looked at him curiously. Nick held my hand as he looked at Brian. I still didn’t look at Brian.

“Yesterday night…when you guys both went upstairs…” Brian started. I inhaled sharply as he said that. Nick looked at me funny.

“Rachel and I were talking…and…then I…”

Leighanne’s eyes grew wide “You kissed her?” She cried. Brian stopped talking

“No Leigh…I kissed him! It wasn’t Brian’s fault!” I cried

Nick let go of my hand and stared at me in horror

Leighanne looked at Brian and left the room. Nick’s eyes filled with tears and he stared at me

“I’m sorry Nick,” I whispered. Nick left the room without saying anything. Brian ran after Leighanne.

Leighanne packed her suitcase up and proceeded to leave the house. Brian grabbed her arm and kissed her passionately.

“Brian! Ugh! You disgust me!” She cried after they let go

“Leighanne…listen to me, That kiss didn’t mean anything, I don’t know why it happened but I can tell you for sure that it meant nothing,”

Leighanne half smiled “Then why did you do it?”

Brian looked at her “Maybe because she reminds me of you?” he asked

Leighanne then smiled “You’re sure?”

“I love you Leigh…I’m sorry I hurt you,” Brian hugged her.

“It’s ok Brian…I’m ready to go home anyway, let me talk to Rachel,” Leighanne gave Brian her suitcase. He walked down to her car. Leighanne walked upstairs

~*Rachel’s Room*~

“Rachel,” Leighanne nudged me I looked up at her

“Leigh! I’m so sorry! I didn’t mean to kiss Brian, I’ll never do it again, I swear, it was a total acci---“ She cut me off

“Rachel, it’s ok. Brian explained it to me. I’m gonna go home now. I’ve bothered you enough,”

“Leighannne…I’m really sorry,”

“It’s ok,” Leighanne said smiling. She kissed my forehead and left.

~*Later that Afternoon*~

I was burning up like crazy and everyone was gone. I’m not sure where exactly Nick went off to but I didn’t bother to get up.

“Are you hungry?” I looked up to see Nick leaning against the doorway. His eyes looked really puffy and I felt so bad

“Nick…please talk to me,” Nick looked hesitantly at me. I looked into his eyes. He walked over to me and sat down.

“I’m really sorry Nick,” I said

“Then why did you do it?” he asked me

“I…don’t…know,” I said slowly. Nick sighed

“You just kissed Brian, not knowing why?”

“Nick…if you claim to love me, then you should be able to understand what I’m saying,”

“I don’t get you at all Rachel,”

“Nick…I said I was sorry!” I snapped

“Fine!” Nick got up

“Fine!” I said

“Where’s Leighanne? Let me kiss her for no reason so we can be even,” he said.

I gasped “Nick…that was messed up,”

“Messed up? You kissing Brian was messed up!” he said

“I told you I was sorry!" I yelled “Well you don’t sound so damn sorry right now!”

“BECAUSE YOU ARE PISSING ME OFF!” I shrieked.

“Oh…I’M pissing you off? Oh…I’m so sorry!” He cried mimicking me

“Nick…get the hell out,” I said quietly.

“No problem,” he said smirking. God, this was why I hated him the first time I saw him.

“Don’t come back either,” I said louder this time

“Don’t worry about that,” he said

“I wish I’d never met you!” I cried as he closed the door. He left the room.
