~*The Next Week:*~

“Leighanne honey…sit on the chair and look into Brian’s eyes when he sings to you,” The director said. I smiled. Leighanne was the object of affection in this video they were making. The rest of the Backstreet Boys were in the background singing the chorus part and they had roses in their hands and the background was black. The screen would fade to black during some parts and show clips of the BSB smiling and holding teddy bears and such. It was a cute video. At the end, Brian’s dog, Lil’ Tyke, jumps onto the screen and all the BSBs run away in fright while Leighanne pets him.

I watched this out take as Brian sang. He sounded really good and Leighanne was doing a good job of being his. She was smiling. 20 minutes later, she wasn’t smiling. I couldn’t blame her. How can you act happy for THAT long? She was tired and the director was frustrated.

“Leigh sweetie…take a break….” The director said. All the bsb’s sighed with relief and Nick plopped down in the director’s chair next to me.

“You stink,” I said edging away from him.

“Excuse me?” he looked at me. I swear, he was sweating

“You…stink…it’s not that hard to understand Nicky boy,” I pinched my nose.

He pretended to be mad. “YOU try wearing all BLACk and standing under the HOT LIGHT in this 80 degree weather…singing the same damn line for an hour!”

I grinned “I can do it better than you can!” I said.

He took a sip of water and poured the little water left over on my head

“AHHHRGH!!” I shrieked and jumped out of my hair.

Nick burst out laughing. I glared at him and shook my hair at him like a wet dog.

“Woof woof,” Nick barked. I laughed.

“Leigh…we can’t work like this,” the director argued. Leighanne had her arms crossed

“What’s going on?” I asked walked over to them “He…” Leighanne pointed at the director “Said that my looks were all wrong,” she huffed. I raised my eyebrows. Leighanne was the prettiest actress and model I’d seen!

“YOU!” the director cried looking at me

“Uh…what?” I cried

“Take over Leighanne’s role, you would go fantastic with Brian!” he said looking at my face closely.

I paused for a long time. Leighanne finally smiled “It’s ok Rachel…I’m tired anyway, plus you’ve never been on TV before,”

“Are you sure?” I asked her

“Yeah she’s sure,” Brian pulled me into another room for makeup. I was so excited! I’m gonna be in a music video!

~*20 Minutes Later:*~

“All right…one two three…action.” The director sat down as music floated into the room. Brian kneeled down and sang to me.

After Brian sang to me the director motioned Brian to do something. He pointed to his lips and he puckered them. Brian looked confused but then suddenly he turned to me. He grabbed me and kissed me passionately on the lips. I put my hands on his shoulders and tried to act relaxed.

“CUT! FABULOUS!” The director cried. Everyone clapped. I laughed as Tyke jumped onto my lap. Leighanne grinned at me. AJ whistled. Kevin and Howie clapped too. Nick...? Where was Nick?
