Connie Dykstra

A Winnepeg, Manitoba native, received her training and professional experience in the midwestern U.S. Regionally, Connie has sung the wicked stepsister Clorinda in Rossini's "La Cenerentola" with the Florentine Opera in Milwaukee, and performed both Pamina ("Die Zauberfloete") and Donna Anna ("Don Giovanni") with Lyric Opera Cleveland. She debuted the role of Countess Adele in the Chicago premiere of Rossini's "Le Comte Ory" with the Chicago Opera Theatre. Other credits include: Adina ("L'Elisie D'Amore"), Gilda "Rigoletto"), Micaela ("Carmen"), Melisande ("Pelleas Et Melisande"), Luna." On the lighter side, Connie has performed many of the G&S heroines, as well as Guenevere ("Camelot") and Eliza Doolittle ("My Fair Lady")with Utah Musical Theatre, and Irene Molloy ("Hello Dolly"), Marisinah ("Kismet"), and Hannah in "The Merry Widow." Concert appearances include Mozart's "Exultate Jubilate" with the Milwaukee Symhony Orchestra.
