Sat. 14th March :- Sleat 3 - 3 Kyle
As pre-season friendlys go, what this game lacked in skill was made up for in enthusiasm. At no time were Kyle behind. Norman Finlayson scored first with a hard drive into the bottom corner in the first half, but after swapping goalies at the interval Kyle found themselves at one each minutes into the second half. Persistand play by George MacInnes forced Donald MacGillvary into scoring an own goal. Sleat then equalised again. The goal of the game goes to James Matheson with a high hard shot that left the keeper stranded, but Kyle couldn't hold on to the end and Sleat grabbed another equaliser deep into stoppage time.
All in all, a hearty Kyle performance against an almost full strength Sleat outfit, who must be dissapointed in a poor result against a makeshift Kyle team
