Chapter 19

The next Monday, it was back on tour for the guys. They were now in Atlanta, GA. for two concerts. Madison signed what papers needed to be signed and left her room to search for Michael, who was about ready to have a heart attack since things weren't going exactly to his plan. Like they ever did.

She knocked on his room door and a second later, it flung open. "There you are, where have you been??"

She almost laughed, "I was looking over these papers and signing them..would you calm down and BREATHE Michael?? Geez, you act like you're about to go into labor at any moment."

He took the papers from her and looked them over, just to make sure. "I just want things running smoothly and so far, they're not."

"What happened now?"

"One of the trucks is stuck about an hour from here, that truck has all the clothes for the guys and dancers, it also has some lighting fixtures and other things."

Madison groaned, "Oh man..Will it get here in time?"

"Should..with seconds to spare."

Madison smiled, "Well..least it'll get here.."

Michael nodded, "Yeah..well..they're waiting."

"Who's waiting??"

"The guys..and a surprise."

"Where??"

"Downstairs, conference room A."

She nodded, turned, and went towards the elevators. What did those guys have up their sleeve this time??

Madison swung her hair up into in a quick ponytail with a rubber band from her wrist and made her way to conference room A. She turned the knob but it was locked, she heard voices so she knew someone was in there. So, she knocked.

The voices got silent and she heard the lock turn. Nick opened the door and grinned his trademark smile, "Hey Mad. What's up?"

"Nothing..whats up with you?," She said seeing right through his act, the guy could not lie his way out of a paper bag.

He shrugged, "Nothin'..just a little surprise."

"I'm afraid to ask what it is. Last time you all pulled something like this, it was a cake for my birthday, two months late by the way, and most of it got on you in that big cake fight later that night."

Nick laughed, "That was SO not my fault. But..come in..and see for youself."

She stepped past him and her jaw dropped. Her brother Robert and her nephew Andrew were standing there. Andrew flung his four year old body at his aunt and hugged her. She picked him up and hugged him and kissed him till he wiggled away. Robert grinned and hugged his little sister. "What are you two doing here?," Madison asked him.

"A certain blonde friend of yours called me.," Robert said grinning.

She turned to see all five BSB members standing there grinning. "You all are SO mean. Especially you Mr. Carter."

Nick smiled, "You know you love me."

"Anyways..Andrew, did you meet these guys??"

Andrew nodded his blonde head, "Yep! They're so cool Aunt Madison..can we go get ice cream now? Plllleeeaassee??"

"I don't know Andrew.."

Robert shook his head, "He'll be fine. I gotta get to a meeting anyways..dinner later?"

She nodded her head, "Definately."

"Cool..see you later then. Be good Andrew."

"I will daddy."

"Bye Rob..," Madison said hugging him.

Robert left them and Andrew took his aunt's hand. "Can we go now??"

"Yeah..anyone wanna come with us?"

"I'll go.," Kevin said.

"Ok..come on then..let's go find some ice cream."

The three left and the four remaining Backstreet Boys grinned at each other. "Damn they got it bad for one another.," Brian said smiling.

Andrew took Kevin's hand and dragged him to a nearby fountain in the park they had found. Madison paid for the ice cream and walked over to the two. Andrew leaned over, looking into the water. "But why do people throw pennies in the fountain??," He said looking up at the dark haired man above him.

"You're supposed to make a wish before you throw one in and its supposed to come true."

"Ohhhh..cool.."

Madison sat down and handed Andrew his ice cream cone. "Didn't you get anything?," Kevin asked sitting beside her.

She shook her head, "Nope..didn't want anything..Don't wander too far Andrew."

"I won't."

"He's a cutie."

She nodded, "Yeah..I didn't realize how weird it was not seeing him or my brother."

"We figured it'd be a nice surprise..plus Robert said he had business down here."

She nodded again, "Yeah..he's a workaholic but he always makes time for Andrew though.."

"Thats good.."

"Uh huh...Andrew, come back here!"

The four year old came running back laughing, "You almost didn't notice I was gone!"

She reached out and tickled him, "I did too! I figured you'd come back though!"

He laughed and squirmed away, "That bird ate my ice cream though!"

"What happened?," Kevin asked smiling.

"I umm..dropped it and he took it!"

"Fair game Andrew..it was on the ground..," He said.

Andrew shrugged, "Can I go play on the playground now??"

"We'll come with you."

Andrew took Kevin's hand and then took Madison's hand and walked with them both over to the playground. He ran off to the slide while Madison and Kevin sat on a bench where they could keep an eye on him.

"So..when do we fly back to Orlando for that reunion?"

"You had to remember, didn't you?"

He nodded.

"Friday afternoon, Saturday is an off day and thats the reunion."

"Got a dress yet?"

She shook her head, "Nope..I'll get one..got yourself a suit?"

"Always have one."

She smiled, "Ego much?"

"Not at all."

Andrew ran over and grabbed Madison's hand, "Come push me on the swings!"

She couldn't say no to him so she followed him to a swing. Kevin leaned back and watched as Madison began pushing Andrew. Andrew laughed as he went higher and higher into the sky. Madison stepped back a little as Andrew swung back a little too far and almost hit her. She grabbed the swing to stop it and pulled back, holding her wrist in pain. Andrew jumped off to see what happened to his aunt. "Aunt Madi? What happened?"

She held her wrist closer to her, "I don't know Andrew.."

"Did I hit you? I didn't mean to..," He said as Kevin came over.

"What happened Madi?"

"My wrist like did this weird popping thing..it hurt so bad.," She said holding it to her.

"Let me see.."

She held it out for him to see and jumped when his hand touched her. Andrew looked like he was about to cry. "Its okay Andrew, you didn't do anything, I promise. I'll be fin-OW! KEVIN!"

Kevin laughed and looked up at her, "Sorry Madi.."

The pain left when she looked into his eyes. Damn, those eyes.

"Its..umm..its okay.."

"I think you may of just knocked it..put some ice on it when we get back to the hotel?"

She nodded, "Yeah..maybe we should head back, I gotta get ready for dinner.."

"You okay Aunt Madison?"

She picked Andrew up and nodded, "Yep..I'll be fine.."

"Okay..where we going to dinner?"

Kevin and Madison laughed as Andrew continued to ramble on while they walked back to the hotel.
