Once again we had a successful BOW workshop! Eighty-six participants attended the May workshop at Barren River State Resort Park. One of the highlights of the weekend was the frog gigging on Saturday night. Several vans headed out to gather frogs for the Care & Handling of Game/Fish class the next morning. I heard the frog legs were delicious! Several KNOW members either taught classes or assisted at this workshop. It's great to see our BOW "alumni" taking what they have learned and passing it on to others. If you are interested in joining this "alumni" group, there will be a BOW Instructors' Training Workshop September 10-11, 1999 at Camp Webb. For more information on the workshop, contact Barbara J. Pulliam at 1-800-858-1549 ext 445.
Registrations for the September BOW workshop being held at Jabez are going out in the mail this week. If you don't receive one by the 25th of June, call 1-800-858-1549 and request it. Remember, the September workshop fills up fast, so don't wait. This workshop will feature some new classes, such as Introduction to Waterfowl Hunting, Outdoor Challenges for Personal Growth, and several new twists.
We're finally doing it! We've had numerous requests for an advanced BOW workshop and it's now in the works. Beyond BOW will be held October 22-24, 1999 at Camp Webb. Registration forms are being printed and will be available soon.
