He was a former teacher of Pike County Schools at Jenkins, Ky. Severed in WWI, married Apr 13 1922 Pebble R. Senter. having 4 children, two died ininfancy, surviving, Vivian Doris, Harold Gay and one grandson Victor Burton Ratliff II. Employed by the State of the Highway Dept for 13 years, and for four years a member of the Fiscal Court of Pike County.

Turner, and A. L. Turner of Castlewood, Va. He joined the Gravel Lick Church of Old Regular Baptist Oct 7 1911.

RATLIFF, Joel S. born Oct 10 1878 died Jun 4 1952; the son of Harrison Raltiff and Louisa COLEMAN Ratliff; married to Mary C. STEWART on Dec 17 1903 having 2 girls/1 boy; Opal, Oma, and Otis. BLANKENSHIP, Mary Francis, the daughter of Morton and Spicy Blankenship, born Apr 1 1874 died March 4 1954. Two children were born out of wedlock 1 girl/1 boy. Later she married Alvis JUSTUS and they had 7 children; 2 died in infancy, 5 still living; 3 girls and 2 boys. Member of the Old Regular Baptist Church.
