Monkeys, Monkeys EVERYWHERE!
Basically, I am here to talk about those little dickens...MONKEYS! How I adore them, and thus a nice collection has been started! Thanks to mom, dad, Peg, Vee, Jenn, Amizanda, Jase, Rich, Kelly(PIC!) and any others I may have ACCIDENTALLY excluded...except Alaska and Hawaii(Jenn, our first day in STA, remem?...how would you INTERPET the CARPET MATINEES??). Anyway, I will highlight the best, but remember, this is only a semi-list. You must see the real ones to believe them. Any and all monkeys(and money, as I initially typed)can be sent to me...gotta try! In monkey talk..."EEEEHHHH EEEHH EEHHH!"
Bananas anyone????
- From Senor Mitchell...Let's start with the Macarena monkey, then Mr. GreenJeans, Tyrone, and various birthday and Christmas cards from Hell(aka WKU!!!)
- Monkeys that make noise...I have several. First, duh, the Macarena monkey, then the squawking sound monkey, then the white one with the santa hat that grunts Christmas carols. Oh, and the bluemonkey you have to shake like crazy, but he does sound like a monkey.
- My cool beans KY Kingdom stuff...the game prize, with Banana. Every time I see him, I think that they played "George of the Jungle!" LOOK OUT FOR THAT TREE!
- Ah, Curious George! I now have two slammin' shirts! One expalining George and how he is the most curious of all little monkeys and one with George playing basketball! OOOH! It is UK blue, too! How perfect! (Thanks Amizanda and JENNBOB!) BTW, did ya'll know, George has NO TAIL!
- Kelly got me a cool postcard while overseas in bloody England! She saw it and, well, it didn't need a passport to make it into my room!
- Oh, Perk got me the earlier talked about bluemonkey and a barrel o' monkeys. Now, I have distributed the monkeys in the barrel to friends, some of which I wish I could take back...grumble!
- Speaking of Jenn, she got me a couple of books...
- I have a monkey bookmark given to me by my high school librarian extraordinaire(she taught Jase and I all we know about Dewey and his Decimals!), none other than Becky Chappell...aka Chap-Skillet!
- Vee, thanks for the little monkey with no watch! He is SO cute! Little springy tail and all!
- Okay, my poor keychain/carpool buddy Funky Monkey! I do love Funky a heap, but he can no longer be a keychain because, well, he broke. Now, he rides with me wherever I go, along with a barrel monkey, Mac and Bongo. Bongo was given to me by Dani...he is a Teenie Beanie Baby. Scooby Doo and Yakko carpool as well! Toys in the car anyone?
- Oh my! I forgot Mac when talking about sound monkeys! Well, Mac was a Christmas gift from Peg and he is a beanie that makes, yep, you guessed it, MONKEY SOUNDS! Very awesome, adored by millions...okay, at least those who have met him!
- Last but maybe most important is Mongo Valentino, my white monkey my boyfriend Rich gave me for Valentine's Day. I love him so! He holds a red heart in his white paws...awww!
